  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu (1,300M/4,264Ft) & Transfer To Hotel.

      Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu (1,300M/4,264Ft) & Transfer To Hotel.

      On arriving at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport you will be met by a Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative and taken to your hotel. After checking in at the hotel you will be briefed on what to expect on your trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Drive To Pokhara (8,50M) 6-7 Hours.

      After breakfast, we will head off to Pokhara. We will check in to our hotel and then you are free to roam lakeside (Phewa Tal) and can take a boat trip on the lake. As the sun goes down you can see the reflection of Mt. Machapuchare (Fishtail) and the Annapurna Ranges on the crystal clear water of Phew Tal.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Drive From Pokhara To Nayapul And Trek To Tikhedhunga (1480M) 5-6 Hours.

      We will drive for around 1:25 hrs from Pokhara, via the eye-catching Lumle village perched on the mountainside and then on to Nayapul (1050m). The Poon Hill trek begins at Nayapul and after a 30-minute hike reaches Birethanti where you will be asked for your tourist permit at the checkpoint. We then follow the Modi River and after a 3 -4-hour trek reach the lush green village of Tikhedhunga.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Tikhedhunga To Ghorepani (2750M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today we have a 2 hour fairly steep climb up to Ulleri (2070m) and then on to the Magar village of Banthanti from where we have fantastic views of Mt. Machapuchare (6997m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Annapurna South (7219m). We then head through a lush pink flowering rhododendron forest and cross a small bridge before reaching the village of Ghorepani where massive peaks, such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna loom in the background. This is an ideal place to sit and take in the superb views.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Hike Up To Poonhill Viewpoint (3210M) & Trek To Tadapani (2710M) 6-7 Hours.

      Poon Hill is regarded as one of the best viewpoints in Nepal, with views of the Annapurna Ranges โ€“ especially at sunrise and sunset. An early start to the day will see us reach the Poon Hill viewpoint where we can watch the changing colors reflecting off the mountains, such as  Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I  (8091m), Annapurna II  (7937m), Annapurna III  (7855m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna South (729m), Nilgiri  (6940m), Tukuche  (6920m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m) & Lamjung Himal (6931m). After frantically capturing the views on your camera we will return for breakfast at Ghorepani, before heading to Tadapani Village via the scenic trail passing through Deurali (meaning a ridge in Nepali) and past teahouses until we reach Tadapani. 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Tadapani Trek To Ghandruk (1,950M) 3-4 Hours.

      We have an easy trek today taking us through an oak and rhododendron forest. Wildflowers are visible along the trail, adding to the stunning beauty of this area. Once we reach the mostly Gurung village of Ghandruk we will be stunned as we view Annapurna South, Gangapurna, (7455m), Machapuchare, Annapurna III and Hiunchuli. Ghandruk is the 2nd largest Gurung village in Nepal with a population of 4748 people. It is rich in culture and traditions with a museum and Buddhist monastery. Most fascinating is its distinctive style of architecture with most houses having slate tiled roofs and stone walls. It is like time has stood still.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Ghandruk Trek To Nayapul And Drive To Pokhara (8,50M) 5-6 Hours.

      This is our final day trekking as we head downhill passing the teahouses at Ghandruk and then continuing along the stony trail with terraced farmland beside us. We will then follow the trail beside the Modi Khola (river - 50km in length) before we reach Birethanti from where we will drive to Pokhara.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Drive Back To Kathmandu (1,350M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today we head back to Kathmandu, either by bus or private vehicle depending on the size of the group. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be taken to your respective hotels situated close to the main tourist hub โ€“ Thamel.
