  • Day 1 Day 1: Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara (820M) 6-7 Hours.

      Our journey begins with a 6-7 hour drive to Pokhara Valley and its beautiful Phewa Tal (lake) and then checking in to your hotel close to Phewa Tal. Along the way, you can relax and admire the changing countryside of rivers, valleys and terraced farmlands on the side of the hills. There is plenty to see and do along Lakeside with its many shops, bars, and restaurants to choose from. Sitting by the lake watching the sunset over the mountains is an ideal way to end the day.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Drive To Nayapul (1,070M) & Trek To Tikhedhunga (1,540M) 5-6 Hours.

      We will drive for about 1:25 hrs from Pokhara via the eye-catching Lumle Village that sits perched on the mountain side and then to Nayapul (1050m). The Ghorepani Poon Hill Ghandruk trek begins at Nayapul and after a 30 minute hike reaches Birethanti where you will be asked to show your tourist permit at the check point. We follow along the banks of the Modi Khola (river) with a short stop at a teahouse along the way, and then after another 3 -4 hour trek we reach the lush green village of Tikhedhunga.

      Today we have a 2 hour steep climb up to Ulleri (2070m) and then to the Magar village of Banthanti from where we have some truly fantastic views of Mt. Machapuchare (6997m - Fishtail), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Annapurna South (7219m). After heading through a lush pink - flowering rhododendron forest we cross a bridge before coming to Ghorepani Village where once again we have some astonishing views of several massive peaks, such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna that appears in the background. Ghorepani is a fantastic place to sit back, relax and take in the wonderful views.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Hike To Poon Hill (3,210M), Trek To Tadapani (2,590M) 6-7 Hours.

      Poon Hill is justifiably famous for offering some of the very best views of the Annapurna Ranges โ€“ especially at sunrise and sunset. An early morning start will have us reach the Poon Hill viewpoint early enough to watch the sunrise and the changing colors reflecting off the mountains, such as: Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I  (8091m), Annapurna II  (7937m), Annapurna III  (7855m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna South (729m), Nilgiri  (6940m), Tukuche  (6920m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m) & Lamjung Himal (6931m). After frantically snapping photos we will return for breakfast at Ghorepani, after which we head to Tadapani Village via the scenic trail through Deurali (meaning ridge in Nepali) until we reach Tadapani.

      Todayโ€™s three-hour trek is relatively easy taking us through an oak and rhododendron forest. Wildflowers are noticeable on the trail adding to the stunning beauty of this area. We then come to the mainly Gurung village of Ghandruk we will be stunned as we view Annapurna South, Gangapurna, (7455m), Machapuchare, Annapurna III and Hiunchuli. Ghandruk is the 2nd largest Gurung village in Nepal with a population of 4748 people. It has a rich culture, a museum, and a Buddhist monastery. Most interesting is its distinctive style of architecture with most houses having slate tiled roofs and stone walls. It is as if time stood still.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Trek To Nayapul (1,070M) & Drive To Pokhara (820M) 5-6 Hours.

      Our last day on the trail has us descending and then passing the teahouses at Ghandruk and following a rocky trail with terraced farmland beside us. We then continue on the trail on the banks of the Modi Khola (river โ€“ 50km in length) before coming to Birethanti from where we will drive to Pokhara.


  • Day 7 Day 7: Drive Back To Kathmandu (1310M) 6-7 Hours.

      We will follow the same highway back to Kathmandu passing some beautiful rivers, hills, and small Nepalese settlements. The drive will take about 7 hours to Kathmandu. Form the tourist bus park you will be taken back to your hotel. In the evening you will have time to explore the streets of Thamel and maybe sit back in one of the many cafes and relax.
