  • Day 1 Arrival In Ghana

      Upon arrival in Accra, you will meet with our representative who will transfer you to your booked hotel in Accra. There will be activities offered as a complimentary on this day depending on arrival time and preference.

  • Day 2 Accra City Tour

      Accra City Tour

      It will be a full day tour to the city of Accra. Places of the visit include the Independence Square; have an opportunity to the enclosed flame of Africa that was lit by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1961. Also, visit Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, where the first president of Ghana was laid to rest. The place is set in attractive gardens joined by the museum which has photos, artifacts, and insight of Dr. Nkrumahโ€™s life. There is a National Culture Centre as well. It is the largest outdoor art and craft market in West Africa selling traditional crafts. Followed by James Town, Accra historical neighborhood where history resides. The town is well-known for its lighthouses that were constructed by the British in 1875 as a navigational aid for trading vessels. Lastly, walk around the Brazil House; learn more about the seven Afro-Brazilians families who returned to settle in Ghana in 1836. The most familiar name of Brazilian include; De Souza, Palmares, Azumah, Amorin, and others.

  • Day 3 Accra- Lake Volta

      After breakfast, journey to Lake Volta, the largest man-made lake in the world, and enjoy a boat ride to explore its beauty. See the beautiful island surrounding the lake and have a nice view of the popular Akosombo Dam which is the source of electricity for Ghana and other neighboring countries.

  • Day 4 Boti Waterfalls Excursion

      Boti Waterfalls Excursion

      Today you will discover the fascinating Boti Falls and the serene surroundings. River Pawn pawn takes its source from Ahenkwa-Amalakpo before falling over an igneous rock outcrop at the Boti Langmase popularly known as Boti falls. The fall had been hidden in the forest and later discovered by a white catholic priest. The Boti falls is made up of the upper falls and the lower falls which the locals describe as male and female. You will also stop at the umbrella rock; it is a mysterious rock that looks like an umbrella. One can climb it to enjoy the beautiful forest that lies beyond it. The hike there can be a little strenuous but it is definitely worth the effort. The three โ€“headed- palm tree is the next stop after the Umbrella rock. It is about a 20 minutes hike from it. The three โ€“headed- palm tree is a tree with one stem but three heads which are so many years old. It is really a fascinating sight to observe. Be dropped off at your hotel for rest and dinner.

      Today after breakfast, you will meet the guide at the hotel Lobby. Travel in an air-conditioned 4ร—4 to the Cape Coast, enjoying some snacks on the way. The first stop of the day is the Cape Coast Castle, one of about 40 slave castles or large commercial forts built on the Gold Coast of West Africa by European traders. Originally built as a Portuguese feitoria (trading post) in 1555, it was later used as part of the transAtlantic slave trade as place slaves were held before being loaded onto ships bound for the Americas. After the tour, be dropped off at your place of accommodation for rest and dinner.

  • Day 6 Elmina Castle

      Elmina Castle

      Visit the historic slave fort in Elmina, learning about Ghanaโ€™s past and its connections to the transatlantic slave trade erected by the Portuguese in 1482. The first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea; Elmina Castle is the oldest European building in existence south of the Sahara. The last stop on the tour is Fort St Jago, also known as Fort Coenraadsburg or Fort Sรฃo Tiago da Mina, a small Portuguese chapel built in honor of Saint Jago. Situated opposite the Elmina Castle, it was used to protect the castle and is one of the oldest military constructions on the Gold Coast.

      After breakfast, you will enroute to Kumasi taking a detour to the Goldmine of obuasi The Asante gold mine at Obuasi remained the countryโ€™s major producer while others became depleted. It is one of the worldโ€™s richest gold mines in terms of yield per ton of ore. By the end of the 20th century, it was the 10th largest gold mine in the world. Visit theโ€™ Slave Riverโ€™ where capture African bathed before being confined into slavery castles waiting for shipment to the Americans and the Caribbean. Visit the Ashanti craft villages such as the woodcarving village of Ahwiaa, well- known for artisans who fashion high stools, walking sticks, and fertility dolls from wood. You can purchase carved items of all kinds. Followed by the village of Ntonso where artisanโ€™s hand-stamp patterns on a cotton cloth to make Adinkra textiles. Black-onblack and blank-on-red Adinkra cloth is worn on funeral and solemn occasions. You will have an opportunity to learn how to make black dye from the bark of trees. You can make your Adinkra sash to take home. Later continue to the village of Bonwire, the famous Kente cloth is handmade on looms in the time honored tradition passed down through generations. In the process of creating Kente cloth in various styles, you will see kente weavers. You can purchase souvenirs or gifts. In the evening visit the Kumasi Central Market, also known as Kejetia Market. It is the largest open-air market in West Africa where more than 10000 vendors sell their wares.
