      The first day of this experience is dedicated to your arrival in the fascinating southern state of Chiapas. Once at the Tuxtla Gutierrez International Airport (TGZ), you must make your own way to the hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas. 

      Check-in at the hotel is at 15:00 hrs, once you have settled in, you are free to explore the city on your own. 

      San Cristobal de las Casas is a city with attractive streets and architecture, as well as an imposing nature that surrounds it. You can visit the museums, such as Na Bolom where you can find archaeological collections of Chiapas, go to a coffee shop, walk through the streets, shop in the markets, among others.

      Have breakfast and meet your guide and fellow travelers in the hotel lobby to begin the 2 and a half hour trip to the Chiflón Waterfalls, where you will find a series of waterfalls that form turquoise blue water pools. 

      Visit the 5 waterfalls that make up this natural resource. Start with those located downstream including the Cascada el Suspiro, Ala de Angel, Arco Iris, and go up to the Cascada Quinceañera and Velo de Novia, the most impressive of the place for its beautiful curtain of water 70 meters high and a viewpoint from which you can take spectacular photos.

      Finish breakfast at the hotel and depart to the Grijalva pier, the second largest river in Mexico that crosses the states of Chiapas and Tabasco. 

      From there you begin a two-hour boat ride through the majestic Sumidero Canyon, an archaeological fault that opened approximately 12 million years ago.

      During the tour among its walls that reach 1,300 meters high, you will observe an infinite variety of vegetation and fauna, including spider monkeys, ocelots, river crocodiles, ducks, among others. 

      Take the opportunity to take pictures and have fun while you navigate its waters.
