The weather during the experience can be very warm with daytime temperatures ranging from 19 to 33°C, at night it can drop to 8°C, especially in January and February.

Where does the experience start? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

The experience begins in Marrakech, where a tour representative will pick you up for the transfer to Ouarzazate. It is important to contact your guide through the internal chat about 30 days before the experience to find out the pick up place in Marrakech that best fits you.

Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?

Currently there are no mandatory vaccinations for visiting Morocco, however it is recommended to have the vaccines against tetanus, typhoid, hepatitis A and B. We suggest you check directly with the embassy for all travel information.

What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I can&#x27;t go on?

It is always important to have travel insurance. Any situation first is to warn your guide, depending on the case the necessary assistance will be given and even if it is required to finish the experience.There is an available car to take injured people to the nearest hospital.

What currency do you recommend I bring? Where can I change?

Accepted Answer

The currency used in Morocco is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). We recommend you to change to the local currency before arriving in the country. It is also possible to bring USD and change upon arrival in the country. Few of the commercial establishments accept international credit and debit cards.

Does not include international and local flights, travel insurance, food and beverages not mentioned, tips, other personal expenses. We recommend that you bring about $50 USD per day for general expenses, especially for the days when food is not totally included.

The groups are between 02 to about 15 people.

Do I have free time during the activities of the experience?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the day, once the scheduled activities are over, you will generally be able to enjoy free time to relax and take pictures. This time will be announced by the guide at the beginning of your experience.

After the scheduled activities you can get to know your fellow travelers better, explore the area and enjoy the nature around you. 
In Marrakech you can visit the Medina Souks, the Djemaa El Fna, the medersa Ben Youssef,  Koutoubia Mosque, Saadina Tombs, the beautiful Bahia Palace, Marrakech Museum and more. 
In Ouarzazate you can see the Tifoultoute Kasbah, the cinema museum, Ksar de Taorirt, and more. 
Consult your guide for more information about the places you can visit. Activities and visits during free time are not included.

This experience includes 04 breakfasts, 04 lunches and 04 dinners, with entrance (vegetarian salad), main menu (Morrocan food like tagine, vegetables, meat, chicken, soup, bread), water and dessert (fruits, coffee, and tea).

Meal options can vary from $9 to $25 USD. We recommend bringing a daily total of approximately $50 USD for days when no food is included.

How are the accommodations within this adventure? Which are the hotels?

This experience includes comfortable accommodation in Ouarzazate: Hotel Ouarzazate (03 stars) or similar - Private double room. Camp in the desert: Camp - Double occupancy private tent. Central accommodation in Marrakech: Hotel Riad (03 stars) or similar - Doble private room. NOTE: The hotels/cabins are subject to change without notice upon arrival, you can request more information or confirmation by chat directly to your guide 1 week before your arrival.

What happens if I’m traveling by myself? Is it possible?

Of course you can travel alone, but you must add a mandatory individual supplement. If you do not want to pay the extra you must select some of the following start dates during 2021: November 22 and during 2022: January 24.

What is the minimum and maximum age? Does the price change for minors?

Accepted Answer

The minimum recommended age for this adventure is 15 years old. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult (+18). 
The experience is recommended for people up to 80 years of age who are in really good physical condition and maintain an active life.
Not recommended for pregnant travelers or people with back problems and heart conditions.

If I arrive a day early or leave a day late, where can I stay?

For this experience, the departure and return are in Marrakech. If you wish to take additional nights in these cities, consult the “extra” section or  with your guide through the traveler&#x27;s chat within your session, to know which are the best options.

Will I have internet and/or phone coverage, as well as Wifi?

During the experience you only have phone coverage. Guides are equipped by Satellite phones for emergency matters. You can buy a sim card when arriving in the country, however, coverage is not available on all the  parts of the trek through the desert. Wifi is available in Marrakech.

Only in the planned hotels of Ouarzazate and Marrakech. An external power bank previously charged is recommended to charge your electronic devices.

The common voltage in Morocco is 220V with a frequency of 50 Hz. The plugs have two round pins type C and E. The official outlets are type E and F. Mexican and Colombian travelers may need an adapter.

The first day begins at Marrakech. We recommend arriving throughout the morning and to contact your guide about 30 days previously to know the time and place where you can be picked up for the transfer to Ouarzazate.

The last day of this experience is exclusive for your departure from Marrakech to the country of origin. Check out at the hotel at 10:00 hrs.

Morocco does not require insurance, but we recommend a complete medical insurance that covers any eventuality such as delay or cancellation of flights, it is also suggested to cover major medical expenses for any type of emergency.

Walking shoes, comfortable and light clothes, towel, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, skin creams for those who have sensitive skin , insect repellent , camera, personal medicines.

It is recommended that you carry a small luggage only with the things, also a small bag or backpack to carry during the day.

Do I need a visa to enter the country?

Accepted Answer

It is necessary to check directly with the embassy in your country to confirm if there are any visa requirements. This will depend on the nationality; some nationalities do require a visa to enter Morocco. You must follow the instructions of the embassy to make the application. It is also important that the passport has at least six months validity from the return of the trip. ###MX 
For travelers who have a Mexican passport, it is NOT necessary to have a visa to enter the Kingdom of Morocco. Similarly, it is required to have proof of departure, ie have a return ticket purchased.

Travelers with Colombian passport, need to have a visa to enter Morocco. It has an approximate cost of $220 MAD/Moroccan Dirham ($92,087 COP) must be requested 45 days before the planned date of departure from Colombia.
