  • Day 1 Arrival to Salta
    • 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

      Arrival to Salta

      Begin the adventure when arriving at the Martín Miguel de Güemes International Airpot (SLA) in Salta, where a tour representative will pick you up. It is important to inform your guide of your flight schedule at least 30 days in advance. We recommend you to arrive during the morning because the tour activities start in the afternoon.

      After the check in at the hotel (available at 15:00 hrs), visit the most emblematic sites of the city including the Cultural Centre of the Americas, the Basilica Menor of San Francisco, the Monument to Güemes, the Historical Museum of the Norte (Cabildo) with impressive exhibitions of sacred art and rooms dedicated to old Salta families. Also, visit the Basilica Cathedral of 1855 where the remains of General Güemes are kept. Continue the experience with the ascension to the Cerro of San Bernardo, where you can appreciate a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Walk around the monument 20 de Febrero, where the battle of Salta took place, visit the Handicraft Market and finish the tour in the summer village of San Lorenzo on the outskirts of the city.

  • Day 2 Salinas Grandes - Lipán - Purmamarca

      Start the journey towards San Antonio de los Cobres, passing through the charming village of Tastil. During the break, take the opportunity to have lunch and then continue along Route 40 towards Salinas Grandes. Once at the border between Salta and Jujuy, start the descent through the Lipán slope where you can observe the flight of the condors. Arrive at the town of Purmamarca, known due to the Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of the Seven Colors). Finish the day with the return to Salta by the highway.

  • Day 3 Cerro de los Siete Colores - Huacalera - Humahuca
    • 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

      Cerro de los Siete Colores - Huacalera - Humahuca

      After breakfast, begin a day full of beautiful landscapes and lots of culture. Arrive to the small town of Purmamarca, where you can appreciate the Cerro de los Siete Colores, go through the Posta de Hornillos and continue until the Tilcara village. Then, visit the exact point where the Tropic of Capricorn passes, the town of Huacalera.

      Reach the Humahuaca city, with ist beautiful quebrada declared Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2003, there, visit the Cathedral and El Indio, an important monument of Independence. During the return to Salta, you can see the Paleta del Pintor, the main attraction of the landscape in the town of Maimara.
