Day 3: Lhasa-Yamdrok-Gyangtse-Shigatse (370km 8-9 hours)

Today you will drive to Gyangtse via Gampa La pass(4980m) which offers spectacular views of the Nojin Kangsang(7200m) snow ranges and Yamdrok, the turquoise lake (4400m). You can also view the amazing Karola glacier.

You will arrive in Gyangtse (4000m)ย this afternoon to visit the well-preserved Pelkhor Monasteryย that is famous for Kumbum Pagoda, which is situated besides Pelkhor with impressive 42.4 meters in height.
Afterwards you will drive to Shigatse. On the way you will visit a local Tibetan family to know the daily life of Tibetan people.
