      ­ Breakfast at the hotel. Between 8:30 and 9:00, we will pick you up from your hotel to start the panoramic city tour. You will observe the Colonial Center, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Archbishop’s Palace, and the Municipality of Lima. Additionally, we will visit the San Francisco complex, a convent with cloisters and catacombs from the Colonial era. The tour will continue through the traditional, residential, and commercial areas of Lima, ending with a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the beaches of Miraflores. Free afternoon.

  • Day 3 Lima - Cusco

      Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board the flight to the city of Cusco. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the selected hotel. For this day, you can choose between two options: a Walking Tour through the city or a visit to the famous Cusco Planetarium. 


      OPTION 1: WALKING TOUR

      At 3:00 PM, we will pick you up at the hotel to take you to the Temple of the Sun, also known as Qoricancha, which in the Quechua language means "Enclosure of Gold." Its grandeur is still felt within walls that were once entirely covered in gold. Qoricancha was a sacred place where the Inca god, Inti or the Sun god, was worshipped. After the visit, we will continue our walking tour, heading towards the Plaza de Armas, making a brief stop at the archaeological complex of Kusicancha, revealing the foundations of eight Inca courts (architectural complexes) in different states of preservation. It is presumed that this was the place where ritual objects (ceramics and textiles), drinks, and food were made for the Inca temple ceremonies.

      We will continue our tour until reaching the Plaza de Armas, where we will marvel at the impressive Cathedral of Cusco, notable for its Renaissance colonial structure built upon the Inca foundations of what was known in the past as "Suntur Wasi" or the Palace of the Inca Wiracocha. Inside the cathedral, there are remarkable pictorial works of the Cusco School and beautiful carvings covered in gold leaf.

      After the tour, you will have free time for personal activities. We suggest taking a stroll through the beautiful cobbled streets of the city, visiting the famous artisan neighborhood in San Blas, Hilario Mendívil Gallery, and Hatun Rumiyoc Street, where the famous Twelve-Angle Stone is located.

      As the sun sets, if you climb up a few meters next to the Cathedral, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the illuminated city of Cusco, which will surely be unforgettable. In the streets near the Historic Center, you will find excellent options to enjoy a delicious homemade dessert, a good coffee, coca tea, or hot chocolate to warm you up. You will also find a wide variety of bars and restaurants to satisfy your cravings. Return to the hotel on your own.


      OPTION 2: VISIT TO THE CUSCO PLANETARIUM

      At 5:15 PM, we will pick you up from the hotel to take you to Plaza Regocijo, from where we will head to what is possibly the most original planetarium in the world. The Cusco Planetarium is an interesting cultural interpretation center about Andean astronomy and worldview, an observatory of the Southern skies, and a beautiful place surrounded by nature.

      During the approximately two-hour experience, we will have a brief talk about the Andean worldview in the interpretation rooms, where we will also learn to recognize the constellations of the Southern hemisphere. We will learn about the Inca constellations, different from those of the Western world, and about the relationship between the Andean people and the cosmos. Finally, if weather conditions allow, we will observe planets, stars, and nebulas using the telescopes of the planetarium, from the heights of the Sacsayhuaman neighborhood. At 7:40 PM, we will return to Plaza Regocijo. Return to the hotel on your own.

      Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the train station to begin the excursion to the Sacred City of Machu Picchu, recognized as one of the wonders of the world and declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

      The train will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes, from where we will ascend by bus to the Archaeological Center and begin the guided tour, which lasts approximately 2 hours. During the visit, you will see temples, plazas, terraces, houses, granaries, as well as the great biodiversity that exists in the surroundings. It is worth noting that the beauty of Machu Picchu is enhanced by the extraordinary setting in which it is located.

      Around the citadel, a National Reserve has formed, covering an area of 32,500 hectares, including a constellation of archaeological monuments, which, in our opinion, were built as part of the Machu Picchu complex and not in isolation. At the indicated time, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes, where lunch is included, and where we will board the train back to the city of Cusco. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel.
