  • Day 1 Bangkok - Kanchanaburi
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Bangkok - Kanchanaburi

As the morning sun graces the bustling heart of central Bangkok, your day begins with a seamless pickup from your hotel, setting the stage for a captivating journey. Today, you shall embark on an exploration of Samut Songkram province, a place where history, culture, and the picturesque coalesce.

Your first destination is the renowned Maeklong Railway Market, often referred to as Talad Rom Hub. Here, a unique spectacle awaits: the train track seamlessly interwoven within the marketโ€™s bustling streets. With your expert tour guide as your companion, youโ€™ll navigate this vibrant market, taking in its local flavors, sights, and sounds. As you stroll, the opportunity to savor delectable Thai desserts and fruits shall arise, immersing your senses further in the local culture.

Next, a short journey to the pier leads you to a private boat awaiting your arrival. A tranquil canal tour, lasting approximately 30 minutes, promises serenity and a deeper connection to the regionโ€™s aquatic beauty. This waterway shall gently guide you to the iconic Damnoensaduak Floating Market, Thailandโ€™s inaugural floating market, where villagers adeptly peddle their fruits and culinary treasures from their paddle boatsโ€”a charming display of traditional trade.

The dayโ€™s odyssey continues as you traverse approximately two hours to Kanchanaburi province, a place where historyโ€™s weight is palpable. The solemn visit to the Bridge over the River Kwai unveils the tragic tale of its construction, intrinsically linked to World War II. Here, the World War II Museum or JEATH War Museum offers poignant insights into the bridgeโ€™s history.

A train ride along the famed Death Railway follows, a journey through lush forests, accompanied by breathtaking views of the Kwai River and its verdant surroundings. Youโ€™ll traverse the precarious, winding wooden bridge, a testament to the resilience of the Allied prisoners who built it during the war. The railway leads to Namโ€“Tok Station, where the splendid Sai Yok Noi Waterfall awaits, providing an opportunity to relax and swim in its refreshing waters.

Lunch shall be a delightful affair at a local restaurant, offering a taste of authentic Thai cuisine. As the day draws to a close, a transfer to your hotel awaits, providing a moment of respite before a comforting dinner within the confines of your accommodation, where the dayโ€™s adventures can be savored and cherished.

      Kanchanaburi - Ayutthaya

As the morning sun casts a gentle glow upon the hotel, your day commences with a sumptuous breakfast. Today holds the promise of an extraordinary journey, one that unveils the rustic rhythms of rural life, a tapestry of traditions and simplicity that beckons to be explored.

Our voyage takes us to Nong Khao, a quaint village nestled 12 kilometers from Kanchanaburi. At first glance, it may appear unassuming, akin to countless Thai villages youโ€™ve encountered. However, as we delve deeper, its unique charm and time-honored customs reveal themselves. Here, life adheres to a humble and agrarian rhythm, where the majority engage in rice cultivation, cattle raising, and the art of cloth weaving.

We embark on an E-Taen Farmer truck, a symbol of this villageโ€™s hospitality towards curious travelers like yourself. As we traverse the villageโ€™s landscape, youโ€™ll notice warm smiles and gestures of welcome from its inhabitants. Your gaze will be captivated by the sprawling rice paddy fields, adorned with pockets of elegant fan palm trees. Itโ€™s a picturesque panorama that encapsulates the essence of rural Thailand.

In this village, rice isnโ€™t merely a crop; itโ€™s a symbol of life, sustenance, and cultural reverence. Youโ€™ll have the privilege of participating in a cultural ritual dedicated to the Rice Goddess, a testament to the profound significance of rice in Thai society. By observing the seasonal activities tied to rice cultivation, youโ€™ll gain a profound appreciation for the simplicity and authenticity of their way of life.

Supporting local producers and artisans is a meaningful way to connect with the village community. A shopping opportunity for local products enables you to directly contribute to the livelihoods of those who call this village home.

As our sojourn through Nong Khao draws to a close, weโ€™ll make our way back to your hotel. Itโ€™s time to bid farewell to your room and embark on a northward journey towards Ayutthaya, a city steeped in history. En route, a delightful lunch awaits at a local restaurant.

Upon arriving at your Ayutthaya abode, youโ€™ll have the pleasure of checking into your room, marking the beginning of a leisurely interlude. The day unfolds at your own pace, allowing you to immerse yourself in the ambiance of this ancient city, where centuries-old stories await your discovery.

  • Day 3 Ayutthaya - Bangkok
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Ayutthaya - Bangkok

Following a delightful breakfast, the day unfolds with the promise of exploration and cultural immersion. As the morning sun bathes Ayutthaya in a golden glow, youโ€™ll meet your knowledgeable guide, a beacon for the adventures that lie ahead.

Our journey begins with a visit to the venerable Wat Yai Chai Mong Kol, a temple that bears witness to centuries of history. Formerly known as "Wat Pa Kaew" or "Wat Chao Tai," this sacred site rests in the southeast of Phra Nakhon Island, in the present-day Khlong Suan Phlu Subdistrict of Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya Province. The templeโ€™s crowning jewel is a grand pagoda, painstakingly restored during the reign of King Naresuan. Within its hallowed halls, a discovery of great significance was madeโ€”a sacred script known as the Chai Mongkhon spell, now enshrined alongside the revered Phra Phuttha Chai Mongkhon, the principal Buddha image of the temple.

Our cultural odyssey continues as we venture to Wat Mahathat, a temple steeped in the royal history of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. This venerable site is among the oldest and most esteemed temples in Ayutthaya, as it once housed a sacred relic of Buddha. Throughout the Ayutthaya era, Wat Phra Mahathat bore witness to countless significant royal ceremonies. However, when the Ayutthaya Kingdom met its untimely end in 1767, the temple fell victim to a devastating fire and was subsequently abandoned. Today, its remnants are enshrined within the Ayutthaya Historical Park. Within these sacred grounds, youโ€™ll encounter remnants of ancient grandeur, including pagodas, octagonal spires, a royal hall, quaint chapels, and murals nestled beneath the protective branches of a Bodhi Tree. Additionally, the renowned sandstone Ayutthaya-style Buddha head entwined within the roots of a tree awaits your contemplation.

Our cultural sojourn culminates with a visit to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, an emblematic temple nestled within the grand compound of the Grand Palace. The foundations of this historic site are still visible, bearing testament to its regal past. Initially conceived as Wang Lung Palace, a royal residence upon the cityโ€™s founding by King U-Thong, it later transitioned into a monastery during the reign of King Ramathibodi I. However, as King Borom Trai Lokanat initiated the construction of new royal quarters, the palace underwent a transformation, emerging as the esteemed Wat Phra Si Sanphet.

During Ayutthayaโ€™s zenith, this temple reigned as the cityโ€™s largest. Three meticulously restored chedis grace its precincts, each containing the ashes of illustrious Ayutthaya monarchs. Located at the northern terminus of Si Sanphet Road, this sacred sanctuary is distinct in that it no longer accommodates monks or novices, serving as a historical testament to Ayutthayaโ€™s regal legacy.

Following a delectable lunch at a charming local eatery, our journey continues with a serene transfer back to the vibrant heart of Bangkok.
