Upon your arrival at the Amman Airport, you will have to pay for your visa on arrival (40 JOR approximately). Then you can grab a taxi (not included) towards the hotel confirmed by your guide.

Amman is one of the oldest cities in the world, inhabited since the bronze age. The city is growing into a modern city, but retains its character and history. The drive from AMM into Amman takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your arrival time.

    • 9:00 am - 7:00 pm

Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Meal in Family Home - Amman

You get picked up from Amman and are driven north to Jerash, one of the most preserved GrecoRoman cities in the Middle East. After enjoying the ruins and souk at Jerash, proceed to Ajloun and visit the castle, dominating the Ajloun skyline. It was built to ward off the Crusader armies at the key trade and pilgrimage intersection between Jerusalem, Cairo, Damascus and Mecca.

Then you head to the village of Orjan for an experience of more traditional life meeting the local host at the olive groves, to see the trees that have provided olives for hundreds of years. Then take a short walk to the host's family home, where you will be introduced to the culture and daily life of the host community, and sample a delicious feast of traditional food cooked by his family. This is a great opportunity to ask questions about life in rural Jordan.

You return to Amman in the evening.

  • Day 3 Amman City tour - Dead Sea - Amman
Amman City tour - Dead Sea - Amman
    • 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Amman City tour - Dead Sea - Amman

Start the day with a city tour of Amman. Beginning with the Citadel and the Roman Theatre, two archaeological sites spanning several empires, you will discover how tradition and modernity meet in the Old City. You also view the beautiful, white Al-Husseini Mosque, and stop at a local restaurant to have some authentic Jordanian street food (aka falafel and hummus).

Later, leave Amman and descent a long, winding road over 1,000 meters to the lowest point on earth – the Dead Sea! At 400 meters below sea level, you can enjoy the afternoon floating in the uniquely salty waters, apply the famous Dead Sea mud with its countless dermatological benefits, relax by the pool, or pamper yourself with a spa treatment. It’s time to get rid of all stress and tension that you might have been carrying around with you!

Then on to the town of Madaba and discover the amazing Byzantine mosaics excavated from throughout the town. See the ‘Madaba Map’, the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Lands. From Madaba, you continue further south to Karak, once an important city in the Moab Kingdom. Today, the city’s main attraction are the ruins of a massive Crusader castle. While exploring the maze of stone-vaulted halls and passageways, you will learn about the impressive insights the castle provides into the Crusader’s architectural and military skills.

Continue south and stop at Shobak castle, also known as Montreal, providing a contrasting example to Karak. After this interesting stop, drive on until you arrive to Wadi Musa, the modern village adjacent Petra.
