      Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this historic and vibrant city. Meals: NO

  • Day 2 Day 2: Acclimatize Kathmandu

      Day 2: Acclimatize Kathmandu

      After breakfast, enjoy a full-day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the โ€œcity of glory.โ€ Visit Durbar Square, the heart of religious and cultural life, known for its old temples and Newari architecture. Highlights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar, home to the Living Goddess.


      Next, visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, one of the worldโ€™s oldest Buddhist stupas, set high on a hill with panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. Proceed to Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located along the holy Bagmati River. Tourists can view the temple from the eastern side of the river.


      Finally, visit Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, featuring four pairs of eyes watching over the four cardinal directions. Enjoy a welcome dinner in the evening.

      Catch an early morning flight from Kathmandu International Airport to Lukla Airport, then trek to Phakding. Descend past farmlands and Sherpa villages like Chheplung, Ghat, Sano, and Thulo Gumela. Along the way, visit the Drangdrak Gompa and Pema Choling Gompa monasteries, and enjoy breathtaking views of the sacred mountain Kumbila and the Kusum Kanguru peaks.

      Head to Namche Bazaar, crossing through the hamlets of Zamphute and Tok Tok, where you can see the dazzling Thamserku glistening in the sun. Pass through the scenic Sherpa villages of Benkar, Chumoa, and Monjo, reaching Utche Choling Gompa on a bluff above the Dudh Koshi River. Continue to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.


      The second half of the trek to Namche Bazaar involves a steep climb. After passing through the last village of Jorsale, a steep path leads to a high bridge over the Dudh Koshi River gorge, where it meets the Bhote Koshi. Begin the final ascent to Namche, where you get your first look at Mt. Everest, peering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. Finally, after about 1.5 km (0.9 miles), reach Namche Bazaar.

      We spend an acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar. To help our bodies adjust to the high altitude, we can take short walks or climb a few hundred feet to explore the villages, houses, terraced fields, and view the snowy mountains of Kwangde, Khumbu Peak, Thamserku, and Kusum Kanguru. Enjoy the villageโ€™s big weekly event, the Saturday market, mingling with the crowds and observing men and women in traditional attire.

      Today, the trail climbs steeply out of the valley through a rhododendron forest, with juniper and large conifers appearing as the elevation increases, making the trek especially beautiful in spring. The trail passes through Yak Kharka and summer settlements, offering magnificent views of Khumbi La and Tawache throughout the day.

      The trail climbs a ridge, offering excellent views down the valley to Kangtega and up towards Cho Oyu. It then descends to a river before climbing steeply to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier. We reach Machherma by early noon.

      Today, we trek to one of our final destinations, Gokyo. This camp will be our base for the next two nights as we embark on several hiking and sightseeing trips around Gokyo.

      We spend this day in Gokyo strolling around the lake and hike north to other sacred lakes and return back to Gokyo for night stay. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Day 10 Day 10: Trek To Gokyo Ri (5360M/17586Ft) & Back To Gokyo 5 Hours

      Day 10: Trek To Gokyo Ri (5360M/17586Ft) & Back To Gokyo 5 Hours

      Gokyo Ri is the highlight of the Gokyo Valley Trek, offering epic mountain views. We start the climb early in the morning, crossing the stream at the north end of the village and ascending for two hours to the summit adorned with prayer flags. From the top, enjoy panoramic views of Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse, and Taboche, with the Ngozumpa Glacier cutting across the landscape. We then descend back to Gokyo for an overnight stay.

      Descend to Namche Bazaar via typical Sherpa village of Khumjung. Leaving the mountains behind our descent continues back to the town of Namche Bazaar.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

      From Lukla Airport, we fly back to Kathmandu. Enjoy a leisure day shopping for gifts and souvenirs for your friends and family. In the evening, join us for a farewell dinner to review great photos and share experiences from the trip.
