Day 1 Kathmandu To Mt Everest Via Lukla

In the early morning, you will depart for the domestic airport. Upon landing at Lukla for refueling, you will fly to the airstrip in Syangboche, which is situated at 12,340 feet (3,761 meters). Alternatively, if you prefer to have breakfast at Hotel Everest View, the helicopter will land at the hotel’s helipad. From Syangboche, your tour will provide a close-up view of Mt. Everest and the magnificent Himalayas, including Amadablam, Pumori, Number, and Cho Oyu. This region, known as Solukhumbu (Solu), is famous not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain but also for its Sherpa villages and monasteries with their uniquely preserved culture. Solu has attracted numerous trekkers and mountaineers from around the globe. The region offers various options, from full-scale expeditions with tents and porters to independent treks using local lodges.

The Solukhumbu region is largely covered by Sagarmatha National Park, established in 1976. Surrounded by towering mountains, this captivating land is a true paradise for mountaineers and trekkers. Depending on the crowd at the base camp, the helicopter will either land at Everest Base Camp or head closer to KalapaTar for a quick photograph. Afterward, the helicopter will fly you back to Syangboche or Lukla and then to Kathmandu.
