Please be advised that if you need to return early from the trek due to reasons such as sickness, unfavorable weather conditions, personal issues, itinerary modifications, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the following conditions apply: - Any payments made for flights, hotel accommodations, mountain room bookings, meals, and related expenses are nonrefundable. - You will be required to cover the costs of hotel stays, meals, and other expenses in Kathmandu independently. Additionally, please note that during the months of March to May and September to November, all flights will depart from Ramechhap. It will be necessary for you to make a 4-5 hour drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap in order to catch your flight. Kindly consider these terms and arrangements carefully before commencing your trek. Itinerary of your trip Everest Base Camp With Gokyo Lake Trek

  • Day 1 Day 1: Fly Kathmandu To Lukla And Trek To Phakding.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Fly Kathmandu To Lukla And Trek To Phakding.

      This morning you will be picked up from your hotel by your guide who will take you to the domestic airport in Kathmandu.  The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes around 35 minutes, giving you time to catch the magnificent views of the Himalayas. At Lukla your trek begins, firstly passing a Kani (ceremonial gatehouse) before the trail descends and then follows a trail just above Kyangma Village with its large Gompa (monastery). We then head to Cheplung Village where the trail passes through a forest close to the Dudh Koshi River. After crossing the suspension bridge you take the trail across the ridge to Ghat and then pass Mani walls, Chortens and prayer wheels. After a short walk from Ghat we reach Phakding where we will stay the night. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Trek To Namche Bazaar (3440M).

      The trail today crosses several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River before coming to the villages of Tok-Tok, Benkar, and Monjo, and then to the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. After following the trail above the river for a several hours we then have a steep uphill trek to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a flourishing town and has a selection of restaurants, an internet cafรฉ, pubs, post office, ATM and banks.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Acclimatization Day At Namche.

      Day 3: Acclimatization Day At Namche.

      This lovely town is the perfect place to acclimatize. Health specialists strongly recommend we spend the day staying active, rather than sitting idle. In order to stay active we will take a short trek to Everest View Resort, Thame, visit Khunde or relax and explore Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a thriving commercial hub of the Everest (Khumbu) region. It has a vibrant and exciting market each Friday evening and Saturday. Your guide can also take you to the Tourist Visitor Center situated close to the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can view a variety of relics relating to the first mountaineers to climb Everest, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of this region. 

  • Day 4 Day 4: Trek To Tengboche (3790M).

      Day 4: Trek To Tengboche (3790M).

      The trail to Tengboche zigzags along the sides of the valleys as we make our way to the teashops of Kenjoma. The trail joins the path from Khumjung just before a collection of Mani stones. The views of Everest and Ama Dablam are spectacular on this section of the trail. We pass the small settlement of Sanasa at which point the trail heads down to Phunkithanga (3250m). We then have a steep climb through pine forests as we skirt around Mani stones as the trail meanders along the side of a slope until we arrive at Tengboche (3870m). The view from here is regarded as one of the worldโ€™s most celebrated landscapes. Kwangde (6187m), Tawachee (6542m), Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse (8501m), Amadablam, Kantega and Thamserku are visible and give you a sense of the immensity of these Himalayan giants. We will stay the night at Tengboche. 

  • Day 5 Day 5: Trek To Dingboche (4350M).

      Today we follow the trail through the forest and then cross the Imja Khola and then pass through the town of Pangboche. The trail passes through the summer grazing lands to Dingboche where we will stay the night. Todayโ€™s trek will take around 3 to 4 hours โ€“ an easy day!

  • Day 6 Day 6: Acclimatization Day At Dingboche.

      Day 6: Acclimatization Day At Dingboche.

      To assist the acclimatization process we will trek up to Chhukung from where we have some great views of Ama Dablam and further up the valley to the moraines of Island Peak. This short trek today takes us up and then back down the valley to Dingboche where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Trek To Lobuche (4950M).

      Day 7: Trek To Lobuche (4950M).

      We begin today by heading to a tea house at 4600m where we will stop for a break before continuing on for another 1.5 hours to Lobuche. We slowly get closer to Mt. Pumori and Mt. Nuptse as we get nearer to Lobuche. We will trek through the wide valley to Thugla, passing the Trekkerโ€™s Aid Post at Pheriche 4240m. A western volunteer mountain specialist and The Himalayan Rescue Association are based here in the trekking season. We continue up the valley and then drop down to the yak pastures at Lobuche where we will stay the night. Todayโ€™s trek will take between 5 and 6 hours.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek To Everest Base Camp (5360M.), Back To Gorakshep.

      Day 8: Trek To Everest Base Camp (5360M.), Back To Gorakshep.

      The trek today begins with a two hour trek to Gorakshep. The trail is easy-going in the beginning but gradually becomes more difficult. Along this section of the trail we have stunning views of several enormous peaks, such as Everest, Nuptse and others. The trail continues for about 150 metres before it traverses a moraine and then becomes easier just prior to reaching Gorakshep - one of the worldโ€™s most remote and highest settlements. After a lunch break we trek toward EBC along a trail adjacent to the Khumbu Glacier. It will take around 1.5 hours before we arrive at EBC (5360m). From EBC you will have views of the Khumbu Glacier with its frightening and treacherous crevices. We will then head back down to Gorakshep for the night.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Early Morning To Kalapather Then Trek To Dzonglha(4830M).

      Our day begins with an early morning1.5 hour climb to Kalapathar to see the sun rise over the mountains โ€“ especially Mt. Everest. We will take in the numerous mountain views from this famous vantage point before heading back down to Gorakshep for breakfast. The trail from Gorekshep to Lobuche will take around 2 hours, followed by another 2 hour trek to Dzongla where we will stay the night. 

  • Day 10 Day 10: Cross The Chola Pass (5420M) At That Point Trek Down To Tagnag(4695M).

      Day 10: Cross The Chola Pass (5420M) At That Point Trek Down To Tagnag(4695M).

      After an early breakfast we head out on the trail to Cho La Pass. We initially cross the icy terrain as we head to the pass. At times the pass is blocked by thick snow. As we come out of the pass we head down to Tagnag for the night.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Trek To Gokyo (4800M) At That Point Visit Fifth Lake Back To Gokyo.

      Day 11: Trek To Gokyo (4800M) At That Point Visit Fifth Lake Back To Gokyo.

      It is a short trek today of around 2 to 3 hours before we arrive at Gokyo. We will spend the remainder of the day exploring the Gokyo Valley. We can also visit the ice sheets and turquoise lakes of the Gokyo valley. From here you have startling views of Mt. Everest, Cho-Oyu, Lhotse Makalu and other massive peaks. We will return to Gokyo for the night.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Early Morning Move Up Gokyo Ri At That Point Trek Down To Dole(4200M)

      The trail today heads upwards to Gokyo RI. It is tiring, but once at the pass we have some awesome views looking down to the Gokyo Valley, the Ngozumpa Glacier and the Himalayan Khumbu ranges. We then head down to Dole where we will stay the night.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Trek To Namche Bazaar.

      Day 13: Trek To Namche Bazaar.

      The trek from Dole to Namche Bazaar should take about six hours. We will pass through Khumjung and follow a trail at the base of Mount Amadablam. Once we reach Namche Bazaar, we can sit back and relax before the final day on the trail tomorrow.


  • Day 14 Day 14: Trek Down To Lukla.

      Day 14: Trek Down To Lukla.

      From Namche we initially head to Phakding which should take around 5 to 6 hours. From here we trek on for another hour or two before reaching our overnight destination at Lukla. Tonight we can kick up our heels and celebrate the successful completion of the trek.

  • Day 15 Day 15: Fly Back To Kathmandu And Move To Hotel.

      Day 15: Fly Back To Kathmandu And Move To Hotel.

      This morning, in order to avoid fickle winds later in the day, we will fly back to Kathmandu. At the airport you will be taken to your hotels where you will have time to wander the streets of Thamel to do some last minute shopping. Alternatively, you may wish to visit some historic sites around the city.
