      Our guide will meet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel in Thamel. The rest of the day is free and will give you time to wander around and do some shopping around Thamel. If you need anything for your trek, you will find it here in Thamel. In the evening your guide will provide valuable information about the trek. You will also meet the rest of the group.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Fly To Lukla (2,850M/9,350 Ft) & Trek To Phakding ( 2650 M/8562 Ft ) 4-5 Hours.

      The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes around 35 minutes, time enough to value the spectacular views of the Himalayan Mountains. On the trail we pass a Kani (ceremonial gatehouse) before the trail descends and then leads above Kyangma Village with its large Gompa (monastery). We then follow the trail to Cheplung Village where the trail passes through a forest close to the Dudh Koshi River. After crossing the suspension bridge we climb up and across the ridge to Ghat Village. Not far from here is Phakding.

      On the trail today we cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River before passing through Tok-Tok, Benkar, and Monjo villages and then arrive at the Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate where you will be asked to show your trekking permit. We then follow the river bed for a few hours and after crossing the final Hillary suspension bridge we have a steep uphill trek to Namche Bazaar. Namche has a broad selection of restaurants, an internet cafรฉ, pubs, bakery, post office, ATM and banks.

      Health professionals recommend we spend the day being active rather than sitting idle. From Namche Bazaar it is easy to take a short trek to Everest View Resort, Thame, visit Khunde or to relax and explore Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices and a lively market each Friday evening and Saturday. Even a short trek of only a hundred metres will improve the acclimatization process. Your guide will also take you to the Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can view: a range of relics associated to the first mountaineers to climb Everest, Sherpa culture and learn about the wide-ranging plant and animal life of this region.

      The day begins with a steep climb up from the valley floor through rhododendron, juniper and large conifer forests - with their fragrant aroma. The trail passes via Yak Kharka (meaning grazing pasture for yak) and various Sherpa villages. Throughout the trek you will experience some magnificent views of Khumbu La Pass and Tengboche.

      Today we descend on a 3 to 4-hour trek along a trail through forests and then cross the Imja Khola (river) passing through the village of Pangboche, memorable for its fields surrounded by rock walls.

      Today we are out on the trail at around 8.30 a.m. on an easy route up to Chhukung Village. From here you get an excellent view of Mt. Ama Dablam. The views from Chhukung, and later up the valley, of Island Peak are impressive. Todayโ€™s trek is relatively short and mostly downhill before arriving back at Dingboche.

      On the trail today we pass many Chortens (Tibetan shrines & tombs) before arriving at the village of Thugla (4600m) where we will have lunch at its tea house. From here we head in the direction of some towering peaks, such as Mt Pumori (7161m) and Mt. Nuptse (7861m) before arriving at Lobuche Village (4940m). We then follow the trail through a broad valley before coming to Thukla - soon after passing by the Pheriche Aid Post at Pheriche (4371m). The aid post only operates during the peak trekking seasons. We then head down to the yak pastures of the small settlement of Lobuche. 

  • Day 9 Day 9: Trek To Gorak Shep (5,180M) & Visit Everest Base Camp ( 5,364M) 8-9 Hours.

      The trail starts out to be quite easy, but gradually becomes more difficult. On the trail we have some remarkable views of several massive peaks, such Everest, Nuptse and others. We then have to cross a moraine after which it gets easier before we come to Gorak Shep, one on the worldโ€™s most isolated and highest settlements. After lunch we trek toward EBC alongside the Khumbu Glacier before arriving at EBC (5360m). From EBC there are views of the Khumbu Glacier with its scary and dangerous crevices. We then head back to Gorak Shep.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Early Morning Hike Up To Kalapather Then Trek To Dzonglha (4830M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today we head to Kala Patthar in the early morning before sunrise. You will watch in amazement at the sunrise on the impressive Himalayan ranges, taking in the exceptional views. We will then return to Lobuche and then two hours later will come to Dzongla which is the only place where we can spend the night.

      Another early morning starts and we head from Dzongla to Cho La Pass. The trek across the glacier is an enjoyable experience if there is not too much snow, which can otherwise make it impassable. From the pass we head down to Tagnag Village for an overnight stay at a teahouse.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Trek To Gokyo (4800M) Then Visit Fifth Lake Back To Gokyo 3-4 Hours.

      We should arrive at Gokyo in about 4 to 5 hours where we will stop for a lunch. We will enjoy the rest of the day exploring the Gokyo Valley and can also visit the glaciers and turquoise lakes of the Gokyo Valley. We will also have some remarkable views of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse Makalu and other massive snow-covered peaks. 

  • Day 13 Day 13: Hike Up To Gokyo Ri (5360M) And Trek Down To Dole (4,200M) 5-6 Hours.

      In the early morning we climb to Gokyo Ri (5333m) and will take in the stunning view of the massive Ngozumpa glacier (36km long), and views of the upper Gokyo Valley and the peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse, Cho-Oyu, and Gychung Kang. We will then have breakfast and head down to Dole (4200m) where we will spend the night.

      Today we head out on the trail from Dole to Namche Bazaar. Along the trail we will come to Khumjung Village at the base of Mount Ama Dablam. The trail continues until we come to Namche Bazaar where we will stay the night.

      We have a long 7 hour trek today from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, which is mostly downhill with several sections of level ground. There are patches of rock-strewn ground to cross that will require you watch your footing. We soon leave the Sagarmatha National Park before arriving at Lukla.

  • Day 16 Day 16: Fly From Lukla To Kathmandu 30 Minutes Flight.

      Today you can look down at the mountains as we head back to Kathmandu on a 35 minutes scenic flight. After arriving at Kathmandu we will take you back to your hotels in Thamel.
