      On this day, we will hop on an early morning drive to Ramechhap from Kathmandu and board a scenic domestic flight to Lukla โ€“ a quick 30 minute ride. Remember, keep your luggage within 40 kg (88.1849 pounds), or be ready to pay extra at the airport. Lukla, surrounded by breathtaking vistas, sets the stage for your trek to Phakding.


      The trail to Phakding is a leisurely one, meandering through charming settlements, lush forests, and glimpses of wildlife. Enjoy the distant views of peaks like Kusum Kangaru. Crossing suspension bridges and strolling along the Dudh Koshi River, your day concludes in the tranquil setting of Phakding at an altitude of 2610 m (8562.992 ft).       The journey begins with a descent, but as the midpoint nears, the elevation ascends sharply to 3876 m (12687 ft). The unique topography, with its initial descent followed by an ascent, adds to the challenge.

      This charming village unfolds with rustic beauty, featuring idyllic barley, potato, and buckwheat fields, along with grazing animals dotting the landscape. The night promises tranquility as we settle into a teahouse in Dingboche, surrounded by the serene ambiance of the Himalayas.

      The trek to Gorakshep takes approximately 3 hours. After a well-deserved rest and the chance to admire Lobuche, the journey continues to Everest Base Camp. While the trail is formidable, the goal is achievable in about 2 hours. Following your accomplishment, return to Gorakshep for a well-deserved night of rest.
