Itinerary of your trip Uganda - Uganda Gorilla Safari

  • Day 1 Entebbe
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Entebbe

Arrive in Entebbe from your home country. After youโ€™ve cleared customs and immigration at the airport, youโ€™ll meet your driver at international arrivals who will be holding a welcome sign with your name on it.

You will then be driven to your hotel in Entebbe where youโ€™ll stay for 1 night.

  • Day 2 Entebbe - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Entebbe - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The drive will take you to southwest Uganda by road. You will cross the equator mark, then head to Mbarara and thereafter pass through the hilly terrain of Western Uganda into Bwindi. You will arrive and do little but just check in at your accommodation and relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla-trekking experience the next day.

  • Day 3 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the big day! Prepare for an encounter with one of Bwindiโ€™s gentle giants - the

endangered mountain gorilla. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, the only forest in Africa which can make this claim. It also hosts 5 other species of primates, 113 species of mammals, over 200 butterflies, and 360 birds. The gorillas you track belong to one of 9 habituated family groups that can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. The time taken to track the gorillas can be as few as 2 hours to as many as 7 hours. Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of 1 hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Ugandaโ€™s very own "Gorillas in the Mist".

Return to the lodge this afternoon where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

  • Day 4 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Entebbe
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Entebbe

You will have a relaxed breakfast. Thereafter, you will hit the road for the return to Entebbe.

Arrive in the late afternoon or evening for your flight.
