  • Day 1 Day 1: El Chalten - Fitzroy & Laguna Los Tres

      Day 1: El Chalten - Fitzroy & Laguna Los Tres

      You’ll begin the day with a 30 minutes transfer to the beginning of the trail at Hosteria El Pilar. Walking towards the Fitz Roy massif in direction to Poincenot camp, the place where we will spend the first night in the national park. You can leave your stuff for the night and continue upwards another 400 metres to an altitude of 1160 metres at Laguna de los Tres viewpoint: the closest and best place from where to take in the Fitz-Roy massif.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Laguna Torre & Cerro Torre

      Day 2: Laguna Torre & Cerro Torre

      After breakfast we have time for some more pictures before we do our way along the Mother and Daughter lakes to reach the legendary valley of Cerro Torre. This is a gentle hike and it won´t take us more than 5 hours to get there. After having a cup of tea and leaving our clothes for the night we could continue to see Laguna Torre and walk a little further up to the Maestri look out

  • Day 3 Day 3: River Tunel Valley

      Day 3: River Tunel Valley

      You’ll pack your backpacks and after breakfast we try the harness and walk again to Torre Lake to cross the River Fitz-Roy via the zip line. Once across, our trail takes us through the forest, then along a rocky stretch and finally leads us to one of the best views in the valley: the Agachonas Pass. From this point we begin to descend towards the River Túnel Valley, with amazing views of the glacier bearing the same name and its neighbor, Mt. Solo. Once in the vast glacial valley we head westwards towards our next camp at Laguna Toro.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Paso De Viento

      Day 4: Paso De Viento

      After breaking our camp you’ll begin your trek towards the day’s first challenge: the crossing of the river Túnel via a zip line or wading depending on the level of the river that surely is going to be very cold. Then continuing uphill along big and spectacular moraines towards Viento Pass – privileged viewing point of the Southern Ice Field. The name of this pass means Windy in Spanish, so we expect to feel the full-force of these notorious gales. Once over and onto the western slopes of the mountain we descend in direction to Paso del Viento camp, an ideal resting place with a crystal clear river running next to the tents.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Viedma Glacier

      Day 5: Viedma Glacier

      Today you follow the trail which takes us alongside the Viedma glacier. You’ll always see the glacier from above, thus giving us spectacular views along the way. During the trek we pass by some sparkling mountain lakes and after lunch the hard work awaits us as we trek up to the Huemul Pass. At the top we could have the chance to see some Condors flying around since there is a huge “Condorera”. From the top of the pass and after taking the necessary time for a respite you’ll then begin the descent along a steep way through the forest to get to our next camp at Bahía de los Témpanos (Icebergs)

      Day 6: Bahia Tunel - El Chalten

      From the camp you have the chance to see some icebergs from the calving Viedma glacier and after breakfast we have a fairly easy trek to get to Bahía Túnel. From there our transfer will be waiting to take us to El Chalten for a good nights rest & to celebrate the achievements of the last few days!
