Arrival at El Calafate Airport. Transfer to your hotel.    Rest of the day is at leisure.  El Calafate, is one of the most famous tourist destinations of the south of Argentina. Is the entrance door to some of the most stunning and spectacular natural beauties of the whole country, such as Perito Moreno Glaciar, Upsala Glacier, Spegazzini Glacier, O`Nelly Glacier and the Argentinean Lake. Located in the middle of the inmense Patagonia, this lovely city welcomes every year thousands of visitors who come to fall in love with its beauties and enjoy its many varieties of excursions. Breakfast at hotel.  We wish you join us in this wonderful experience. The excursion begins in the embarking pier located in “Bajo de las Sombras” port, about 6 km before the glacier Balconies- wher e you embark for a 10 minutes navigation across the Rico Arm, enjoying breathtaking views of the Perito Moreno glacier’s front walls. After checking the gear, we get ready, pick up the crampons and walk following the lateral moraine, for an hour and a half, until we reach the access to the glacier. After fitting harnesses and crampons on our footwear we start the ice trekking.  There is a breathtaking view of the immense plateau of ice. During the walk you will be introduced to a number of features within the Ice., huge moulins, crevasses, caves, and above all the special feeling of exploring the middle of the ice. Expert bilingual mountain guides will always lead you, looking after your safety and teaching you the “ways of the ice”. You will hike for about 3 hours and a half, and spend some time having lunch somewhere on the ice.  Back on the moraine we start our descent back to the port, to take the boat and navigate for 20 minutes, very close to the southern wall. Breakfast at hotel.  This excursion offers different trek activities which make us access to unusual places in the Glaciers National Park. Good physical condition and mountain walking experience are required. At destiny, it is necessary to complete a medical form. This excursion is only allowed for people between 19 and 40 years. An appropriate outfit is important. It must be comfortable to walk through a mountain environment; warm clothes to tolerate temperatures around 0°C and strong rain. It’s also necessary to take sunblock and sunglasses.  Adventure option (not included in the final price): From Calafate, we travel 50 km until Roca Lake. We embark in a semi-rigid boat with a cabin to sail 45 minutes until the beginning of the Southern arm, the place where we start our first trek to Frías Lake. Once we arrive, we sail on rubber boats (7 people capacity) towards the western extreme of this lake, where we disembark to start the second part of the trek to Frias Glacier/ Dickson South-west extreme of the National Park.
