Meals

Meals are not included, however we'll make frequent stops each day to pick up supplies. You can then cook your own food in the hostel, or visit the local pubs and restaurants.

Optional

We try to keep our prices down for travellers and backpackers on a budget so we don't include any paid attractions in the price of the tour, however depending on availability and popularity, we may visit sites where you'll have the option to pay for a ticket to enter. Please let your guide know if you're keen to visit any paid attractions!

Accommodation

Your accommodation is reserved for you - you just need to pay for it at the departure point (Castle Rock hostel reception). We'll be staying all 3 nights on Skye in our cosy private hostel in the village of Kyleakin. The cost is ยฃ30 per person per night.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Edinburgh To Skye

      Day 1: Edinburgh To Skye

      Set off from Castle Rock Hostel in Edinburgh at 9 am after meeting your lovely Kilted Tour Guide for the next 4 days! Learn about Edinburgh before heading across the Forth Bridges to Fife and then Pitlochry further north for lunch. From here you'll start to head into the Highlands towards Culloden in the north (one of Scotland's most important historical sights) and then onto the mysterious Loch Ness.ย  A photo stop at Eiliean Donan, the Highland's most photographed caslte, is our final stop of the day before we cross the Skye Bridge into Kyleakin; your home for the next 3 nights!ย  Forth Bridges โ€ข Pitlochry/Dunkeld โ€ข Culloden Battlefield โ€ข Loch Ness โ€ข Glen Shiel โ€ข Eilean Donan Castle โ€ข Kyleakin
