TRINITY COLLEGE AND ST. PATRICK´S CATHEDRAL T19 (2 hrs)(40 EUR) We will visit Ireland’s oldest Univerisity founded in 1592 – Trinity College. It is one of the most prestigious universities in Europe attended by many known cultural and scientific personalities. We will visit its magnificent library founded in the 18th century which proudly displays its wonderful architecture. The Long Room is 64 metres long and completely made of oak. Several internationally famous movies have been filmed there. We will also find there the illuminated manuscripts which date back to the 7th century on, as well as the Book of Kells also known as The Cathach of St. Columba. We will also visit the campus where we will observe the architecture of its buildings and the student atmosphere. Afterwards, we will visit the famous Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, a wonderful work of Gothic architecture from the 13th century built around a well where Saint Patrick baptised the converted pagans around the year 450 A.D. -Local guide service. -Admission and guided tour of the university.-Guided tour of Saint Patricks Cathedral.. 10 number of people required.
