Day 2: Bangkok City Tour By Bicycle

This morning we will take a city bicycle tour of Bangkok. Traveling on quiet back streets we avoid traffic and discover the historic heart of Bangkok. We can make a stop to visit the famous Temple of Dawn with the largest bronze Buddha image in Thailand. The tour is also an opportunity to see how people live their everyday lives. At the heart of the city is the Chao Phraya River, the โ€™River of Kingsโ€™ and a network of waterways. Whilst tourists take tours by longtail boats, thousands of people still use ferries to get around the city. Slow barges transport cargo and children play at the waterโ€™s edge. You will see humble wooden dwellings perched along the riverbank as well as skyscraper hotels, temples, churches, and European architecture all within close proximity. There will also be time for shopping and sightseeing or you can or simply enjoy the atmosphere and the delicious food of the local street restaurants and little cafes.
