Arrival In Algiers

Welcome to Algeria! When you arrive at the airport in Algiers, you will find your guide at the arrival hall and then be transferred to the well-selected hotel by a private comfortable car. After checking in, you can take a short rest. If you arrive early, walking around the city freely will be a good idea.

In the afternoon, you will be guided to visit the Arabic-style mosque Notre Dame d’Afrique and Musée National du Bardo, a famous museum(Closed on Fridays) where can explore the history of ancient Roman and Phenician.

Day 2 Algiers - Tipaza - Annaba

Algiers - Tipaza - Annaba

Today you will be escorted to the Roman Site of Tipaza. You will see the ancient Rome Colosseum, grave, and bathhouse from over 1200 years ago. During the drive, we will stop to visit the royal mausoleum of Mauritania (Tombeau de la Chrétienne), the largest surviving Roman tomb in North Africa which is also a UNESCO Heritage.

After the visit, take a flight to Annaba. When you arrive at Annaba Airport, your local guide will meet you at the arrival hall and take you to the hotel.

Day 3 Annaba - Constantine

Annaba - Constantine

After breakfast, your guide will first accompany you to visit Hippo, where you will see Phoenician ruins from the 12th century.

Later, you will be guided to the St. Augustin Basilica, where an arm bone of St. Augustine’s was buried inside accordingly. In the late afternoon, you will be escorted to Constantine.

Day 4 Constantine - Tiddis - Constantine

Constantine - Tiddis - Constantine

After breakfast, you will be guided to visit the Roman Site of Tiddis. Next, you will go back to Constantine and have a city sightseeing trip. You will be accompanied to visit the Cirta Museum, the suspension bridges, the Kasbah, and the Palace of Ahmed Bey, etc.

Day 5 Constantine - Timgad - Lambaesis - Batna

Constantine - Timgad - Lambaesis - Batna

Today you will be taken to visit Timgad and Lambaesis. After breakfast, a1.5-hour drive will take you to Madghacen (Ancient Numidian Tomb). Here you will stop to visit it with your guide.

After the visit, another 50-minute drive will take you to Timgad. Here you will learn about the ancient Roman urban planning and military conditions.

Then you will continue to Lambaesis, a campsite of the 3rd Roman legion. You will explore ancient Roman structures and also some ancient items at the museum in the village.

Day 6 Batna - Djemila - Setif

Batna - Djemila - Setif

Today‘s highlight is the UNESCO Site of Djemila, a religious resort in Algeria. It is one of the most spectacular Roman ruins in the world. Afterward, you will be escorted to Setif to visit the Museum of Archaeology. Finally, you will be escorted to check into the hotel to have a good rest.

Day 7 Setif - Algiers

Setif - Algiers

After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport to take a flight back to Algiers. After arrival, your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. If time permits, we will take you to visit the Museum of Archaeology and Islamic Art.
