Day 1: Pottery and Safari

Stop At: Majete Wildlife Reserve, Chikwawa Malawi
Our guide will take you to Majete Wildlife Reserve for two days of game drives and boat safaris. En route to the reserve, you will meet a community of potters in Chikwawa to learn about how they source and utilise clay to meet their everyday needs.

Day 2: Spot the Big Five Safari

Stop At: Majete Wildlife Reserve, Chikwawa Malawi
Majete recently welcomed 17 new rhinos, and is home to a wide range of animals including the big five. A full day inside the park to try and spot them.

Day 3: Ancient Art and Modern Pottery

Stop At: Chongoni Rock-Art World Heritage Site, Road through Chongoni Forest Reserve, Dedza Malawi
The richest concentration of rock art in Central Africa, this location has rock paintings created by the Chewas in the late Iron Age.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Dedza Pottery Lodge, Dedza Malawi
Tour the pottery factory using modern techniques with traditional flourishes to create beautiful pieces for homes. Enjoy lunch with a view here.

Day 4: Culture Shot

Stop At: Kungoni Centre of Culture & Art, Mtakataka Malawi
This heritage centre houses a vast repository of the cultural practices from throughout Malawi. Explore the museum, buy the book and watch the kinetic traditional dances.
In the afternoon, meet a family of potters keeping the tradition passed from their late father alive. They use black and gold sand to decorate their pots, why not give it a try?

Day 5: Jewels of the Lake

Stop At: Salima, Salima, Central Region
This morning we learn all about cichlids (sick lids), the colorful fish found only in Lake Malawi.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Mangochi, Mangochi, Southern Region
How about sundowners on a sandy beach at a luxury resort, and dinner under the night sky. Keep an eye out for the twinkling of fishermen's lights on the horizon.

Day 6: Community

Stop At: Mangochi, Mangochi, Southern Region
Spend the morning with a lakeshore community initiative tackling environmental conservation, literacy, education, personal finance and much much more.

Spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: Glamping

Stop At: Liwonde National Park, Liwonde National Park, Southern Region
