      WELCOME TO THE PARADISE ISLAND ! 

      On arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, a representative from Koon Holidays will receive & Welcome you and transfer to Kalpitiya. A fantastic unspoiled beach destination in Sri Lanka. 

      On the way you will be briefly explained about Sri Lanka and the places you will visit during this unique tour.

      The Kalpitiya peninsula, Kalpitiya Islands and Kalpitiya Beaches are a much visited tourist destination in Sri Lanka. Kalpitiya is located 130 km north of the Bandaranayke International Airport in Katunayake, while it is an exquisite coastal region located in the Western coastal belt, north of Colombo. Kalpitiya is a peninsula set in between the deep lagoon of Puttalam to the east and the magnificent Indian Ocean to the west. It is an unrivalled marine sanctuary with a diversity of habitats ranging from bar reefs, flat coastal plains, saltpans, mangrove swamps, salt marshes and vast sand dune beaches.

      Breakfast at hotel and in the morning Take a Boat Ride to Willpattu and Do a Jeep Safari at Wilpattu National Park.


      Wilpattu sanctuary was declared as a National Park in 1938, Wilpattu National Park is located on the west coast close to the historical city of Anuradhapura .The dry zone jungle is thickly grown. Wilpattu Natonal Park is home for many villus or natural lakes which dot the landscape in the Wilpattu National Park. Except for two, these lakes contain rainwater, thus are important for resident and migratory water-birds. The history of the park is also of interest with ancient


      If time & weather permits you will do a quick boat ride in the Kalpitiya lagoon & stop at a small sand bank to have a glass of wine or Beer while looking at the sundown.  

      After that return back to the hotel and relax.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Kalpitiya To Sigiriya Via Yapahuwa Kingdom

      Day 3: Kalpitiya To Sigiriya Via Yapahuwa Kingdom

      Breakfast at the hotel and start your journey to Sigiriya which is the central part of Sri Lanka & the cultural triangle. 

      On the way pay a visit to Yapahuwa Ancient Kingdom. 

      A royal residence in 13th century Yapahuwa was able to preserve some interesting remains. While many traces of other ancient defenses are still seen, an ornamental stairway remains as the main piece. Located in Kurunegala, belonging to the North Western Province of Sri Lanka, the Yapahuwa ancient fortress rises to a height of 90 m above the surrounding plains. Built by King Buwanekabahu the First, as the capital of Sri Lankain 1301, today, the Royal residence, the Temple of Tooth Relic, the battle defenses are in ruins.

      Proceed to Sigiriya. Check into the hotel and relax.

      In the evening climb Pidurangala Rock and spot the evening sunset. 

      The rock next to Sigiriya is called Pidurangala. King Kasyapa built his Kingโ€™s Palace on Sigiriya, but he worshipped Buddha on Pidurangala. The monastery dates back to the third century BC, but it was under Kasyapa that it became huge. Itโ€™s said the monastery was home to 500 monks and occupied an area of 14 acres during his reign.

      Have your scrumptious breakfast at hotel and take a visit to a local village called Hiriwadunna. 

      Take a village Lunch with trekking at Hiriwadunna. 

      Take a cycle ride or take a walk in to the bushes, enjoy a nature walk through a scrub jungle, wade through a local stream with low hanging branches, cross a lake in an โ€˜oruwaโ€™, the traditional mode of over water transport, spend time with a farmer harvesting crops under his guidance and taste authentic village cuisine prepared by the farmerโ€™s family with freshly picked produce and local herbs cooked in clay pots over an open heart fueled by firewood. 


      Then in the afternoon visit to Ancient city of Polonnaruwa.

      Polonnaruwa, which was the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, and which is a world heritage site.  Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in โ€™Uprightโ€™, โ€™Sedentaryโ€™ and โ€™Recumbentโ€™ postures carved out of rock could be seen, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, the statue of king Parakramabahu, and the Parakrama Samudraya - a lake built by King Parakramabahu the great.  

      Return back to the hotel and relax.

      Enjoy your breakfast and take a climb to Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the morning. 

      It is a fortress complex of a ruined palace and one of the World Heritage sites declared by UNESCO. Undoubtedly the most treasured historical monument in Sri Lanka and probably the most visited tourist destinations in Sri Lanka, The most looked forward feature of the fortress is the frescoes. Another fascinating detail is its mirror wall. Every step from the entrance to the top is a marvel on its own, and the interesting surroundings make the tedious climb to the top easy.

      Climb down the fortress and refresh yourself. Then today will be transferred to โ€œan extra ordinary property which is situated amongst undulating hills and a lush verdant landscapeโ€.

      Proceed to Knuckles. One of the biodiversity hot spot in Sri Lanka & a place in demand for nature lovers & naturalists. Itโ€™s a breath taking view ๏Š

      Breakfast at hotel and you can do a trek to Knuckles Mountain Range.


      Knuckles range also called โ€œDumbara mountain rangeโ€ is located off Kandy, in the northern end of Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. To the south and east of the mountain range is Mahaweli river basin while to the west are Matale plains.


      Enjoy the lush greenery, range of endemic & migrant birds, water streams & many more nature related things during the trek. Sometimes if you are lucky you might see some Stag deerโ€™s during the visit. 


      Return back to the tent & enjoy a cuo of hot tea or sip a cold beer.

      Proceed to Ella and take a hike to Ella Rock in the morning. ou will also visit Rawana Falls, Ella Gap and Nine Arch Bridge during this day trip.


      Proceed back to Wellawaya, check in to the hotel and relax.

      Yala (Ruhuna) National Park Situated in the southern province, Yala National Park showcases a vast variety of indigenous animals and is best known for large herds of roaming elephants and the ever-elusive leopard. The parkโ€™s dry thorn scrub, interspersed with small dusty glades, IT is reminiscent of Africa, a perfect environment for safaris.

      After game drive return back to the tent & relax.

      Breakfast at the hotel and today you will be transferred to Galle.


      Proceed to Galle and check into the hotel.


      Then late afternoon visit to Explore the Galle City and in the evening you can spot the sunset over the beautiful Indian ocean. 


      Galle was once the chief port of Sri Lanka. It is still well known for hand-made lace. You can also visit the Galle Fort (spanning 90acres) which was originally built by the Portuguese and later extended by the Dutch in 1663. This is also a World Heritage Site. As a result, Asiaโ€™s largest colonial-built fort has protected a wealth of interesting architecture, now housing galleries, cafes, and shops, or fulfilling their initial intended purpose as law courts and administrative buildings. Nearby beach towns provide an altogether different taste of life in the south of the country.
