Itinerary of your trip 3-Day Hill Country Tour Of Sri Lanka

  • Day 1 Day 1: Colombo - Nuwara Eliya
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Colombo - Nuwara Eliya

      07:30: You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Kandy. 

      11:00: Arrive at Kandy and visit the Kandy Temple which is the home of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. 

      12:30: Arrive at Oak ray Restaurant for lunch. If you are interested, you can visit a wood carving center and gem lapidary after lunch. 

      14:30: Leave Kandy and proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Ramboda Waterfalls. 

      In the evening you can enjoy a city of Nuwara Eliya including a visit to Gregory Lake park. Known as Little England, the town of Nuwara Eliya enjoys spring-like weather throughout the year.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Nuwara Eliya - Nuwara Eliya

      6:00 Make a pre-dawn start to Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

      7:30 Take a guided walk along the parkโ€™s nature trails to a viewpoint known as Worldโ€™s End. You may encounter a variety of wildlife including endemic Rhino-horned and Hump-nosed Lizards, highland bird species including the Sri Lanka White-eye, Dull-blue Flycatcher, Sri Lanka Bush Warbler, Yellow-eared Bulbul. Also keep your eye out for troops of Bear Monkey, and Sambar (Sri Lankaโ€™s largest species of deer) which are regularly seen in the plains close to the entrance. You will continue your journey up to Bakerโ€™s Falls, named after the famous explorer, Sir Samuel Baker.

      14:00 Arrive back to Nuwara Eliya for lunch at a local restaurant. 

      15:30 Visit the Tea Plantation and Pedro Tea Factory to learn about tea production and its significance to the Sri Lankan economy. You will be able to engage with a tea plucking experience during this visit.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Nuwara Eliya - Yala

      After breakfast, you will visit Seetha Amman Temple and then drive to your next destination (You will be dropped off in selected cities only โ€“ Please refer inclusion section)
