      PHNOM PENH

โ€˜Phnom Penh is Cambodiaโ€™s busy capital, sits where the Mekong and Tonlรฉ Sap rivers meet. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, trendy restaurants and bars, are the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around Cambodia. Despite its checkered past PP is in the midst of rapid change and growth, although it continues to exude a sort of provincial charm and tranquility with French colonial mansions and tree-lined boulevards amidst monumental Angkorian architecture. Definitely eclectic and alluring itโ€™s a Capital worth seeing.โ€™
