In accordance with your flight schedule, we will be at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu to extend a warm welcome to you in our beautiful country for the beautiful trip. After exchanging warm welcome greetings at the arrival section, we will lead you to our vehicle to transfer you to our property Arushi Boutique Hotel.

It’s a day at complete leisure on your own to relax the jetlag. But we definitely help you with the information to go around in case you’d like to do so.

Hinduism And Buddhism Excursion Around Kathmandu Valley

We spend a full day in Kathmandu today which will be a necessary acclimatization day as well. Early in the morning after breakfast, we will meet for a trip briefing where we will talk about this amazing trip in detail and answer your questions if you have any.

After the brief meeting is over, we will take you on an amazing cultural sightseeing tour of heritage sites in Kathmandu Valley. The sites we take you for the sightseeing today include Swoyambhunath - the oldest monument in Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu Durbar Square – to see the temple of Living Goddess and other medieval architectural wonders, Pashupatinath – to immerse into Hindu death rites on the bank of a holy river, and Boudhanath – a massive Buddhist shrine considered as the biggest in the world.
Day 3 Fly To Lukla And Hike To Phakding

Fly To Lukla And Hike To Phakding

We get ready early in the morning for our flight to Lukla (2,860 meters). We are going to set foot on the marvelous Everest region.

The trip begins with an early flight usually from the Tribhuvan International Airport. However, sometimes the flights are shifted to happen from Manthali, Ramechhap. As Manthali is around 130 km from Kathmandu, we take an early drive from Kathmandu. Once we reach the airport, Lukla is just 15 minutes away.

A short and beautiful flight lands us at Lukla airstrip where incredible mountain views welcome us to the charming mountain region. As soon as we come out of the airport, we get ready to begin the trekking journey. We are trekking to Phakding (2,610 meters) today on a gentle and easy trail that takes us past chhortens, mani walls, prayer flags, etc. to let us know that the region has a big influence on Buddhism. We reach Phakding on the bank of Dudh Koshi River to stay overnight.
Day 4 Trek To Namche Bazar

Trek To Namche Bazar

We are going to enter Sagarmatha National Park on our trek to Namche Bazar today. As we hit the trail from Phakding, we follow the river and cross in many different places over suspension bridges. Once we check at the national park checkpoint at Monjo, we continue walking towards the destination. Although the trail today gives us the pretty tough challenge of traversing an uphill trail, we go on a gentle pace to ease the challenge. Bustling Namche Bazar welcomes us for an overnight stay.

Acclimatization In Namche | Explore Namche Bazar | Hike To Everest View Hotel

Namche Bazar is an ideal point to take an additional overnight stay to acclimatize. Thus, we are going to explore around Namche Bazar and return back here to stay overnight. We enjoy breakfast and set out for the day. We hike up to the Everest View Point. This incredible hike brings to a point that brings the epic Everest to our view for the very first time on the trip. We enjoy captivating views of the mountains and spend time exploring the surroundings before descending back to Namche Bazar. We wander around this beautiful Sherpa village for the rest of the day and adjust to the climate.
Day 6 Trek To Tengboche

Trek To Tengboche

On the fourth day of the trek to the Everest Base Camp, our destination is Tengboche. The first section of the trek goes uphill and becomes gentler before it descends to a mountain stream. After crossing the stream, it goes steeply uphill towards Tengboche. Tengboche is a small and beautiful settlement that has great views of mountain peaks. The Buddhist monastery there, famously known as Tengboche Monastery, is a rich example of Buddhist cultural traditions prevalent in the region. We explored the monastery and surroundings and spent overnight here.
Day 7 Trek To Dingboche

We wake up for a lovely morning and relish our breakfast with the view of mountains given that it’s a fine morning. We are trekking to Dingboche today so we embark on the adventure walk of the day. The trail goes amidst the high towering mountains and passes Pangboche village. We cross a mountain river along the trail to start the uphill challenge. The trail goes pretty much uphill after Pangboche up to Dingboche. Dingboche is a beautiful settlement with tea houses and view of mountain peaks.

Acclimatization In Dingboche | Explore Dingboche

We need another acclimatization day here before we head any further higher. We will go for a hiking exploration to a higher elevation today. We have different hiking options here. We can hike up to Nangkartsang Peak. Both provide spectacular views from the top along with the good challenge of trekking at high altitude. After the hike, we return back to Dingboche to spend the night.
Day 9 Trek To Lobuche

Trek To Lobuche

Our overnight place today is in Lobuche and we trek there through a rugged mountain trail filled with glacial moraine, huge boulders, and bare landscape. Captivating views of mountains accompany us along the trail. Our pace gets slower as we trek higher and we can clearly feel short of oxygen level in the air. So, we try to walk at a gentle pace to adjust to the high-altitude climate. We trek past Thukla where we see a lot of memorial chhortens and eventually reach Lobuche to stay overnight.

Trek To Everest Base Camp Via Gorakshep And Return To Gorakshep

We are going to trek all the way to Everest base camp today. We wake up early in the morning; take our breakfast and quickly get ready for the adventure of the day. With the excitement of reaching the Everest base camp, we set out on the trek of the day. We reach Gorakshep (5,142 meters) and stop for lunch. Gorakshep is also our overnight place for the day so we check into our lodge. Later after lunch, we get ready to trek to the Everest base camp. A gradual ascension through the boulder-strewn path takes us to the epic base camp of the highest mountain in the world.

We enjoy our moments there for a while; take pictures and exploit the most out of the time. Later, we trek back to Gorakshep to stay overnight.

Early Morning Hike To Kalapatthar And Return To Pheriche

We have an early morning wake-up today as we have to start the hike to Kalapatthar before the break of dawn to reach there for sunrise. The early morning challenge of the uphill hike brings us such a rewarding view that makes our day. Breathtaking panoramic views of Mt. Everest and other mountains in the range and sunrise over those mighty peaks make this place a wonderland where we can enjoy the magical mountain marvels.

Later we trek back down to our lodge in Gorakshep to have our breakfast and start trekking to Pheriche (4,371 meters) the destination for the day. After enjoying the Everest base camp and Kalapatthar moments, we are now on our return trip down towards Lukla.
Day 12 Descend To Namche Bazaar

On our trek along and among the magnificent mountains, we are trekking down to Namche today via Khumjung village. We spend some time at the small and beautiful village, Khumjung which boasts perfect views of mountains including Khumbila Peak.

Walking ahead we again reach Tyangboche. We visit a monastery there and head towards Namche for an overnight stay.
Day 13 Return To Lukla

Return To Lukla

We trek all the way back to Lukla today to finish the trekking journey. We trek past Monjo and Phakding villages; encounter the Dudh Koshi River along the trail and eventually reach Lukla. On the final day of the trek, we can celebrate the beautiful adventure.

We see off our trekking potters here today thanking them for all the help they provided to make our trip possible.
Day 14 Fly Back To Kathmandu

Fly Back To Kathmandu

We wake up early for our flight back to Kathmandu. We say goodbye to the serene and magnificent mountains and board the flight to come back to the city civilization. The rest of the afternoon in Kathmandu will be at leisure. Walking around the streets of Kathmandu; souvenir shopping; finding a massage or relaxing at the hotel can be easy ways to spend time.

In the evening, we can again meet you and then provide you with the trip achievement certificate and mark the end of the trek. We will have talks and hear stories of your trek. We will enjoy a beautiful evening together with the Himalayan Scenery Team.
Day 15 Final Departure

Final Departure

As the last day on this trip, we drive you to the airport as per your flight schedule back to home or onward destination. If you have extra time then Himalayan Scenery Treks can probably arrange for you another program.
