  • Day 1 Arrival At Paro Airport

      Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by our guide who will accompany you to your hotel for check-in and refreshment. In the evening, we will explore Paro town. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 2 Paro Sightseeing

      In the morning, visit Ta Dzong and Rinpung Dzong in Paro.In the afternoon, explore Kyichu Lhakhang on of Bhutanโ€™s oldest and most sacred shrines Stay overnight at a hotel in Paro.

  • Day 3 Trek From Paro- Shana Distance: 10.5 Miles Time- 5 To 6 Hours

      The journey begins at Drukgyel Dzong (8,500 ft). The path ascends gradually through carefully tended rice terraces. As the valley expands, we arrive at the military outpost of Gunitsawa (9,200 ft). the final checkpoint before Tibet. Moving onward, we pass Sharma Zampa (9,500 ft) and find numerous ideal camping spots in meadows encircled by trees.

      The trail follows the Pa Chu (Paro River) through pine, oak, and spruce forests. After crossing a bridge to the left bank, we have a hot lunch and continue along the river, climbing through rhododendron forests. We cross the river again before reaching our campsite.

  • Day 5 Soi Thangthangka - Jangothang, Altitude 13,300 Ft: Distance 12 Miles: Time 7-8 Hours

      We hike up to the army camp, then continue along the river above the treeline. Lunch is served at a yak herderโ€™s camp, followed by a short walk to our campsite at Jangothang.

  • Day 6 Jangothang - Lingzhi, Altitude 13,100Ft; Distance 11.2 Miles; 7-8 Hours.

      The trail runs alongside the stream for 30 minutes before ascending to the first ridge, offering stunning views of Jhomolhari, Jitchu Drake, and Tserimgang. We then cross a flat valley before climbing to Nyele-la pass (15,400 ft). Descending gradually, we reach our campsite at Lingzhi, with panoramic views of the mountain peaks and Lingzhi Dzong.

  • Day 7 Lingzhi - Shodu, Altitude 15,800 Ft; Distance 13.7 Miles; Time 8-9 Hours

      The Laya-Gasa route diverges from the Jhomolhari trek route at a small white chorten. The trail ascends the Mo Chu Valley on the west side, crossing the river and climbing steeply to Yeli-la pass (15,800 ft) with views of Jhomolhari, Gangchenta, Tserimgang, and Masagang. Descend to Shodu (13,500 ft) where we camp in a meadow near a chorten after passing a rock shelter in the cliff face.

  • Day 8 Shodu- Barshong, Altitude 11,800 Ft; Distance 10 Miles; Time 6-7 Hours

      The trail descends through rhododendron, juniper, and alpine forests with views of rocky cliffs and waterfalls. We stop for lunch by the riverside and then hike up to the ruins of Barshong Dzong to camp for the night.



  • Day 9 Barshong- Dolam Kencho, Altitude 11,800 Ft; Distance 9 Miles; Time 5-6 Hours

      The trail winds through a dense forest of rhododendron, birch, and conifers before descending steeply. It follows the left bank of the river, crossing ridges and gullies with side streams. The trail then ascends around a cliff face, leading to a pasture where we camp for the night.

  • Day 10 Dolam Kencho- Dodena- Thimphu. Distance 5 Miles; Time 3 Hours

      The trail ascends through a forest to a pass at 11,500 ft, then descends steeply to the river and follows it to Dodena. From there, we drive to Thimphu and stay overnight at a hotel.

  • Day 11 Thimphu-Paro
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Thimphu-Paro

      Full day of sightseeing in Thimphu Valley, including visits to National Memorial Chorten, Tashichhodzong, National Library, Institute for Zorig Chusum, and Handicrafts Emporium. Evening drive to Paro for overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 12 Departure Paro

      Departure Paro

      Depart for Paro International Airport after breakfast.
