      Upon arrival at the airport / train station and meet ย our representative with a sign marked โ€œcustomer nameโ€ and transfer to the hotel for check in. ย  Chiang Mai (New City) was founded in 1296 by King Mengrai as the capital of the first independent Thai state, Lanna Thai (Kingdom of One Million Rice Fields). It became the cultural and religious center of the northern Tai, those who had migrated from southern China to dwell in Thailand, and remained so throughout the turbulent period of recurring Burmese attacks. The Burmese finally captured Chiang Mai in 1556 and occupied it until King Taksin retook the city in 1775, driving the Burmese forces back to near the present border. Burmese influence on religion, architecture, language, cuisine, and culture, however, remains strong. The city stands on the Ping River, a major tributary of the Chao Phraya River.

      See and experience the charming of authentic Chiang Mai through food culture. We carefully select yummy street food, and restaurants for your memorable moment. Starting the tour within the most famous Koasoi (tradition noodle soup) in town which is served with in various styles. Follow by mouth-watering dessert , coffee, fruit juice , lanna sources , coconut milk dessert and many more. During this Chiang mai food tour, it is a good chance to visit the temples, wet market, and attractions. Go slowly by foot and take local transportation to observe people way of life in Chiang mai , meet the Buddhist monk and also learn the Buddhist way . Our licensed tour guide will show you around and introduce the local culture and people. Later, on your free time, recommend to visit the top mountain temple. Wat Prathat Doi Suthep is the most important and famous temple in Chiang Mai. The tour begins with a pleasant wildly driving up 3,500 feet above sea level to the sacred temple of Doi Suthep. ย You then ascend up the 306 steps to the temple gateway which guarded by two splendid Nagas (serpents). Walk around the grounds of Doi Suthep past golden pillars, six foot gongs and rows of bells. ย A five tiered parasols made of gold sat on display in the inner courtyard. Wat Prathat Doi Suthep was built in 1383, is the symbol of Chiang Mai. It is the most sacred temple in the city and contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha which is enshrined in the magnificent golden pagoda that can be seen for miles around. ย A panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside can be seen from the temple grounds.

      Day 3: Half Day With Old Elephant & Bathing Along The Stream

      Travel up to Maerim district to participate with retired elephant which live in comfortable and nature along the river.ย  Beginning with, get introducing to the elephants by feeding them bananas and then change into loose fitting cotton โ€œpajamasโ€ in blue color. They make special food for them by shredded greens, added sea salt and herbs and served it up to one of the elephants that later , you eventually bathed in the river. Bathing along the river help elephant releasing and play on the river to absorb the heat from sunlight. This is the time to learn about domestic and Asian elephant and interactive with the elephants closely. In addition, make more elephant โ€œsnacksโ€ with the guidance of the resident herbalist.
