      The tour starts with an excursion of Casablanca. The visit includes Mohammad V square, an Airy square built-in 1916 amid French Colonial buildings with a statue & pigeon-covered fountain. And Hassan II mosque was completed in 1993, designed by Michel Pinseau and built by Bouygues. The mosque is considered the second-largest in Africa after the Algiers grand mosque, and 7th in the world. The mosque also has the worldโ€™s second tallest minaret at 210 meters. The journey continues to Rabat to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Oudaya. Hassan tower, a minaret of an incomplete mosque built by the third Caliph of the Almohad Caliphate in 1195.


      We also visit Mohammed V mausoleum that has the tombs of three kings Mohammad V, Hassan II, and Prince Abdallah. We travel via the highway to the well-preserved 15th-century town Asilah. An art hub, ramparts, and gates built by colonial Portuguese. The town has much to see like the paintings that fill the whitewashed walls of the medina, the 15th-century ramparts, the Church of San Bartolome, El Hamra tower. We continue to Tangier for the overnight stay.

      We continue our exploration of the magnificent town of the northern part of Morocco. The next stop is the Tangier city. Its whitewashed hillside medina is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the sultans thatโ€™s now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. The American Legation Museum, also in the medina, documents new diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821 Moorish-style former consulate. We also visit Hercules caves shaped in the African continent.


      In this cavern, Hercules allegedly rested during his labor with an opening in the shape of the African continent, as well as the 1000ft site above sea level at the entrance of the strait of Gibraltar. The visit also includes the kasbah museum that used to be the house of the former sultanโ€™s palace of Dar El Makhzen from prehistoric times to the 19th century enjoying the charming Andalusian garden. The finale stop is Chefchaouen, blue-washed buildings of its old town. It is known with its shady main square of Place Outa el Hammam that is the red-walled Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress and dungeon, Ethnographic Museum, and the octagonal minaret nearby. Free time and overnight stay in Chefchaouen.

      Today in Chefchaouen You will have free time all the morning to visit the blue city. It is a city located in the Rif Mountains, north-west of Morocco. It is famous for the remarkable buildings of different tones of faded blue of its old town. Leather and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled alleys. In the shaded central square of Outa el Hammam is the casbah with red walls, fortress and keep of the fifteenth century with ethnographic and artistic exhibitions. The octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque rises not far from there.

      We dedicate the day to explore the Highlights of Fes city with a local guide. The city is considered one of the imperial cities, besides being the cultural and religious center of Morocco.


      Firstly, we start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Then the well preserved medieval Medina, that is listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. You will visit the Blue gate or Bab Boujloud, the entrance of the old Medina. Which appears to be labyrinth of alleyways and streets. You will enter the Medina to visit The Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries. And finally the Quaraouin mosque and university, the oldest university in the world. After that, we leave the Medina to visit the Jewish quarter also known as โ€œthe Mellahโ€. Then, we drive to an ancient fortress for panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, return to your Riad.

      After breakfast, you will leave Fes travelling towards Merzouga via Midelt and the Ziz valley. Today you will travel via the Ifrane city, a beautiful mountain village, named the Switzerland of Morocco. Here you will also stop at the cedar forest on the middle Atlas Mountains. During this journey youโ€™ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains and stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest โ€“ the largest one in Morocco โ€“ where you will have the opportunity to see the Barbary apes. After that, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas. After lunch in Midelt, youโ€™ll be travelling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the spectacular Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, seeing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the province of the south-east Errachidia city. Afterwards, youโ€™ll travel along the fantastic Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon youโ€™ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea. Then take camel ride in the dunes of Sahara Desert of Merzouga to reach the camp where you will have the night, You also have the option of going to the camp by car instead of riding a camel, if you prefer.

      You will wake up early in the morning to watch what will may be the best sunrise of your life over sand dunes of Sahara Erg Chebbi dunes. After wonderul sunrise over sand dunes you will have Berber Breakfast in the camp. Then youโ€™ll peacefully back to the village of Merzouga with your driver, Enroute you couldnโ€™t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes - changing with the light as the day progresses. Then youโ€™ll leave for Rissani , Tinghir, and Todgha gorges - the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge weโ€™ll drive through the Dades Valley, where youโ€™ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as "monkey toes". Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy guest house overlooking the Dades Valley with diner and breakfast.

      Breakfast at the hotel, we begin our journey along the road of 1000 Thousand Kasbahs, since there are enormous kasbahs on both sides of the road. Some of those old fortified houses are restored but unfortunately, a lot of them are ruins. We pass through Dades valley and go up to the mountainous area through an off-road trail where many Berber villages and few nomads living in caves, here we will have the chance to visit one of these families and take a look at their daily life and their main activity โ€œLooking after herds of goats & cheepโ€. We will be impressed by the landscapes of the colorful rose valley before we reach the Skoura palm grove. 45km further, we reach Ouarzazate for the dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 9 Ouarzazate โ†’ Ait Benhaddou Kasbah โ†’ Taroudant

      After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate and visit Ait Benhaddou; this is a strategic fortress town which is along the major salt trading route that continues to Timbuktu. It was used as a stopover for caravan trading between the Sahara and Marrakech. Now it is one of the many UNESCO heritage sites around Morocco and a well-known location for film directors to use in their movies.

      We cross back over the Ouarzazate road and travel east to the saffron capital of Taliouine where you can visit one of the Saffron co-operatives. If your visit coincides with the harvest which usually takes place in October/November, you will have the opportunity to meet the Berber people with their families harvesting the precious flowers in the fields.

      The next stop is 16th century Taroudant or Little Marrakech which we should reach in the afternoon, here you will see the ramparts and walk in the small alleys in the Medina. It has similar medina walls to Marrakech and has the same Saadian dynasty influences. Your accommodation will be in a local hotel or riad.

      We leave this mountainous region and drive for the Atlantic coast; our destination is the charming medina of Essaouira. We will make a stop on the way to Agadir, a resort city that used to be a very big tourist destination for many years. After lunch and a small walk on the Promenade, we will continue to Essaouira on the coast road. The coastal drive offers really beautiful scenery, long sand unspoiled beaches, surf zones, and rugged wild places full of herbs and wildflowers. This is also home to the Argan trees, the goats that love climbing these trees to find food can sometimes be seen stretched on their hind legs or even up in the trees. After several stops along the coast, we reach Essaouira in the afternoon. Overnight accommodation will be at a riad in the Medina.

      After breakfast, we will start the tour of this delightful medina. You can see the influence of some of the European civilizations that occupied this fortress town; the Portuguese left their mark with the white-washed architecture, the Spanish with their cannons along the fortified seawalls, and the Jewish in the merchantโ€™s part of the medina; the Mellah. The fishing port with its bright blue boats is a hub of activity and some strange-looking fish can be seen at the auctions. This is a place of artists and artisans, galleries and small workshops are full of local artwork. Thuya woodwork is a local craft and is very beautiful along with marquetry work and inlaid crafts.

      Music is a large part of the history here too; the world festival of Gnawa takes place annually usually in June and attracts many African as well as international musicians. If you wish to book your tour to coincide with this festival, we can add an extra day here.

      Essaouira is home to windsurfers as strong Atlantic winds make it the ideal spot to catch the wind and ride the waves.

      Today you will have lunch the Moroccan way; freshly bought fish cooked to order on the hot coals. In the afternoon, you have free time to walk and explore by yourself. Overnight accommodation will be in a riad in the Medina.

      After breakfast, we continue our morocco tour to depart from the coast for the Red City of Marrakech with its impressive backdrop of the High Atlas Mountains, and on our way, we will make several stops to take photographs. Once in Marrakech, we will check in to your accommodation in the old medina.

      After a delicious dinner, we will enjoy walking in the famous square of Jemaa el Fna, entertained by magicians, storytellers, musicians, and snakes

      After breakfast in the Riad, you can start exploring Marrakech; ยซthe red city of Moroccoโ€. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. On the afternoon, you will have some free time to wonder by yourself the other parts of the city, before arriving at your overnight accommodation in Marrakech.
