      This morning depart for Fez via the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis and Meknes. Meknes is one of the 4 Imperial cities in Morocco and once the Capital of the Kingdom during the rule of the notoriously cruel Sultan Moulay Ismail. Here the main focus is not its medina but its fascinating history and Imperial quarters of Moulay Ismail. Leave Meknes to Volubilis. Find beautiful mosaic floors, uncovered and brought to light by the archaeologists that work this partly excavated site. From Volubilis move on to Moulay Idriss, one of Moroccoโ€™s most venerated Muslim sites. We suggest to have a barbecue for lunch at Moulay Idriss Square.
