  • Day 1 Day 1: Cancun / Riviera Maya - Tulum - Chetumal

      Day 1: Cancun / Riviera Maya - Tulum - Chetumal

      In the

      morning, visit the Mayan site of Tulum, perched on a cliff and overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Continue to the Seven Colours Lagoon in Bacalar. Late afternoon visit to the modern Mayan Museum in Chetumal. Overnight in Chetumal.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Chetumal - Altun Ha - Belize Zoo - San Ignacio

      Day 2: Chetumal - Altun Ha - Belize Zoo - San Ignacio

      You cross the border into Belize in the morning. Passing sugar cane fields, we soon reach the small town of Orange Walk, where we can get our first impressions of Belize on a leisurely walk. Continue to the Mayan site of Altun Ha, once an important trading center for the Mayans. The Western Highway takes us to the famous Belize Zoo, where you can get to know Belizeโ€™s national animal, for example: the tapir! In the late afternoon, we arrive in San Ignacio, the district capital of Cayo. Overnight in San Ignacio.

      Day 3: San Ignacio - Green Iguana Reserve - Xunantunich - Flores

      This morning, you will visit the Green Iguana Conservation Project. The tour shows the history and vision of the project in depth and brings visitors closer to these fascinating creatures with a lot of information and interaction. You can pet the green iguanas, feed them or even take them under adoption! Plus, on a short hike through jungle trails, youโ€™ll see a variety of local plants and animals that live in rainforests. Continue towards the Guatemalan border, where we can already see the towering pyramid of Xunantunich from afar. Enjoy the breathtaking view over the Mopan valley from the main temple. Then cross the border to Guatemala and drive to Flores. Overnight in Flores.

      A tour of several hours through the most monumental place of worship in the Mayans: Tikal, where over 3000 buildings have been registered. Visiting a museum. In the afternoon transfer to Flores and a short tour of the island. Overnight in Flores.

      Land transfer to the Usumacinta River, which forms the natural border between Guatemala and Mexico. Boat trip to the hard-to-reach Mayan site of Yaxchilan, which was built in a bend of the river and has very well preserved temples, steles and door lintels. Drive on to Palenque. Overnight in Palenque.

      Guided tour of the mystical place of worship of the Mayans with the fascinating temple of inscriptions, tomb of the God-King Pakal. In the afternoon, drive to Campeche, the charming colonial town right on the Gulf of Mexico, with its typical bulwarks in the historic old town center. Overnight in Campeche.

      Visit the most outstanding Mayan Classic sites: Kabah with its Codz Pop temple dedicated to the rain god and Uxmal with architectural jewels such as the fortune tellerโ€™s pyramid, the nunnersโ€™ quadrangle, the governorโ€™s palace. Then drive on to Merida and city tour in the late afternoon. Overnight in Merida.

      Drive to Chichen Itza and tour through the famous cult site with the unique Kukulkan pyramid, warrior temple, ball court and observatory. An unforgettable experience and a crowning conclusion to the trip. Then transfer to Cancun or to your spa hotel in the Riviera Maya.
