Before Tour: All passengers traveling to Egypt MUST have a negative PCR test with QR code or Accepted Vaccination certificate with QR. A Health Declaration form should be available on all international flights and filled by the Passengers before boarding the flight (at the departure airport) and delivered to The Quarantine Authorities upon arrival. During Tour: Wearing face masks is mandatory. We will provide face masks & hand sanitizers to tourists and their companions. All staff members are trained and educated on symptoms and necessary preventive measures related to COVID-19. The temperature of staff members is checked daily. Tourist groups shall not exceed 25 people (until further notice). Tour guides must wear face masks and use wireless microphones inside museums. Headphones are sterilized after each use. Disinfection of archaeological sites and museums is carried out daily. Physical distancing is maintained during visits to museums and archaeological sites. The maximum number of visitors allowed inside museums and indoor archaeological sites is: Two hundred visitors per hour in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and 100 visitors per hour in other museums. 10 - 15 visitors inside any pyramid or tomb (depending on its dimensions). At accommodation: Guests will have their temperatures checked daily. Luggage is disinfected before check-in. Floor signs are placed on maintaining physical distancing. Electronic payment is encouraged. The room capacity is two adults + 2 children (less than 12 years old). Personal Protection Kits (containing personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves, and hand sanitizers) are provided in rooms for each guest. Rooms and bathrooms are adequately ventilated and disinfected daily.

      Cairo, Pyramids & Museum tour, camel ride, train to Aswan We start today with a bang, with a visit to the immense Pyramids and Sphinx at Gisa. We also include a camel ride at the pyramids, family fun, and a great photo opportunity. We then head into the town center and visit the Egyptian Museum with its collection of treasures and the familiar and famous Tutankhamun exhibit with the original golden mask on display. This evening we take an overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan (approx. 12 hours, private twin cabins). OVERNIGHT: Onboard train Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

      Aswan, Philae temple, school visit The River Nile is at its most picturesque here in Aswan, and we take advantage of this with a tour to the beautiful island temple of Philae by boat. During the term, weโ€™ll also visit a local school where we arrange fun and informal joint English and Arabic language classes with children of a similar age to your group.       Aswan, Abu Simbel option, start felucca cruise There is the option very early this morning for a tour to the temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, which have a fascinating story as they were completely dismantled and rebuilt piece by piece to escape the rising waters of Lake Nasser. If you donโ€™t do Abu Simbel, the morning is free to explore Aswanโ€™s busy and exotic bazaar or relax in the hotel before we board our felucca sailboat for a few hours sailing on the Nile. We have a fun nightโ€™s sleep on the deck of the boat and are looked after well by our Nubian crew (toilets and showers are available on a support boat that will join up with us from time to time, and an option to upgrade to a luxury Nile cruise boat is also available).       Todayโ€™s option is a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the west bank of the Nile. Todayโ€™s tour takes in the West bank of the Nile, visiting the Pharaonic tombs in the Valley of the Kings and the unique temple of Queen Hatchepsut, where we learn about her fascinating story. The afternoon is free to relax in the hotel, explore Luxor town, take another felucca trip on the Nile to Banana Island, or perhaps visit the Mummification Museum.   • Day 7 Luxor | East Bank

      We tour one of Egyptโ€™s most significant and impressive sites today, Karnak temple, with its vast temples, obelisks, statues, and columned halls. The afternoon is free in Luxor before we head to the station to catch the sleeper train back to Cairo (approx. 9 hours). You can upgrade one or both train journeys to internal flights.       After arriving back in Cairo and checking into our hotel, we have a short tour to explore the mosque and museum at the Citadel overlooking the city, wander around, and possibly do some haggling and souvenir shopping in the busy Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. Weโ€™ll visit a traditional local Koshari shop for a snack lunch, and in the evening, we include a farewell dinner to say goodbye to your Egyptologist guide and fellow travelers.
