Safety Standards Covid-19: We have put in place a series of precautionary measures in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization. We must play our part in preventing the spread of the virus and ensuring our customers remain safe throughout the duration of their trip. In terms of hygienic practices, ANCIENT EGYPT TOURS is complying with all the WHO guidelines. 1. Groups in tours and activities will not consist of more than 10 people. 2. A safe distance of one meter between clients will be maintained whenever possible. 3. The use of masks is obligatory. Masks will be given to clients who do not have their own. 4. Alcohol gel will be available before, during, and after the service. 5. All those running the service (guide, driver, hotel staff, etc...) will wear a mask throughout its duration. 6. In ancient Egypt, the power of the god Amun of Thebes gradually increased during the early New Kingdom, and after the short persecution led by Akhenaten, it rose to its apex. In the reign of Ramesses III, more than two thirds of the property owned by the temples belonged to Amun, evidenced by the stupendous buildings at Karnak. Although badly ruined, no site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man, and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples located about three kilometers north of Luxor, Egypt situated on 100 ha (247 acres) of land. Karnak is actually the sites modern name. Its ancient name was Ipet-isut, meaning "The Most Select (or Sacred) of Places".
