The Great Pyramids of Giza are famous ancient wonders. They include the giant pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, Mykerinus, and the Sphinx and Valley Temple. You’ll explore the historic pyramids alongside Cairo’s modern buildings when you approach.

The most colossal pyramid, Khufu, is 481 feet tall. You’ll be amazed by these impressive structures.

Next, visit the Egyptian Museum with your Egyptologist guide, who will introduce you to the historical sites along the Nile. After a full day, you will return to your Cairo hotel for a comfortable night.

Take a quick flight from Cairo to Aswan to start your day. Explore Aswan and get on your Nile cruise ship. You’ll have a great day sightseeing! First, visit the massive Aswan High Dam built from 1960 to 1970. This dam controls the Nile River and stops floods in Egypt. Next, see the beautiful Philae Temple, built for the goddess Isis. The temple would have been lost to floods if not for the dam. Return to Aswan, get on your cruise ship, and enjoy lunch as your next journey begins.

(Optional) You can visit the Nubian Village. It has vibrant, colorful houses. People here have farmed along the Nile for a long time. The village has a unique culture; you’ll see camels walking through the streets. You can spend the night in Aswan.

Day 4 Abu Simbel - Kom Ombo - Overnight In Edfu

Abu Simbel - Kom Ombo - Overnight In Edfu

( Optional Tour ) You can take an early morning tour to see the Great Temples of Abu Simbel. Ramses II and Nefertari built these temples, which are known for their beauty. They were moved in 1968 to avoid being underwater due to Lake Nasser.

After that, you’ll travel for 5 hours to Kom Ombo from Aswan. There, you’ll visit the Kom Ombo Temple. This temple is unique for two gods: Horus and the Crocodile God Sobek. The temple is on the Nile’s banks, where crocodiles used to rest in the sun.

On the Nile Cruise ship, you’ll have an Egyptian Night Party. Everyone will wear a traditional Egyptian Galabeya gown. The party will play a mix of old 60s and 70s dance songs and Arabian music. You’ll spend the night in Edfu.

Day 5 Edfu - Luxor - Karnak Temples

In the morning, you’ll visit and explore the large, well-preserved Edfu Temple. This temple honors Horus, the god of the sky and child of Osiris and Isis. It was built in the Greco-Roman period under Cleopatra VII’s rule.

After the tour, you’ll sail on the Nile to continue your tour. In the afternoon, you’ll reach Luxor. There, you can explore the prominent temples of Luxor and Karnak. These temples honor the god Amun Ra. You’ll see how the pharaohs built massive structures and the new path of sphinxes. Take advantage of the temple shows at night. They offer great photo opportunities.

Day 6 Luxor - Valley Of The Kings - Hatshepsut Temple - Flight To Cairo

Step off the cruise ship for an early morning adventure to Luxor’s West Bank. First, cross the Nile River. Then, discover the Temple of Hatshepsut. This temple honors the achievements of Egypt’s famous female Pharaoh. Her powerful father inspired her, and she successfully reigned as Pharaoh. Hatshepsut led famous trade voyages to Somalia, the land of Punt. She brought back valuable treasures from these voyages.

Next, go to the Valley of the Kings. Here, you can enter a royal tomb and see 64 tombs; each tomb is different in size and detail. Some are simple pits, while others have over 120 royal rooms. This site also has the Colossus of Memnon and ongoing archaeology work.

Wrap up your trip by transferring to Luxor Airport for an evening flight to Cairo Airport. When you arrive in Cairo, check into your hotel for the night.
