      Pick up at the hotel to enjoy one of the most incredible tours of Ushuaia; Tierra del Fuego National Park. 


      We invite you to reach the true End of the World to feel the thrill of being in a unique and magical place. All travelers arriving in Ushuaia, cannot leave without knowing the end of the Pan-American route that begins in Alaska and after more than 15 thousand kilometers ends within the Tierra del Fuego National Park. 

      This is the place to take a picture that testify people have truly arrived at the End of the world. Further, just 1000 km away is Antarctica. In the morning around 08:30 we will pick you up at the hotel, from where we will go to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, which is located 12 km from the center of the city of Ushuaia. Before entering the National Park, we will stop at the End of the World train station (optional) where passengers who wish may choose to take the mythical train (about 60 minutes ride) that ends within the National Park. Those who do not make the journey on the train can enjoy a small walk in the Fuegian forest (in winter the small walk could be aborted according to weather conditions). Once the train journey is over, the group will meet again inside the Park with the vehicle and guide to continue with the tour to Ensenada, a bay that combines the Andes, the sub-Antarctic forest and sea in the same place defining an ecosystem unique from Argentina. In this area of the park, native people used to live and their archaeological remains. There is also the last post office in America, where it is sometimes open and we can send postcards to anywhere in the world. (Ensenada bay is closed in winter). We will continue to other panoramic points to make small tours to appreciate the flora and fauna that surprises us with its beauty: Acigami Glacier Lake (Roca) shared with Chile, Lapataia Bay, where the sign indicating that we have reached the end of the Pan American route.

      The tour begins in the morning, departing from the city of El Calafate. After a journey of 80 km we arrive at the viewpoint area, with walkways and balconies facing the Perito Moreno Glacier. The walkways have viewpoint balconies on different levels, which allow varying perspectives of the impressive glacier and landscape. The viewpoints are connected by ramps and stairways which can be walked during the excursion. The excursion is complemented with a short navigation of 1 hour. This excursion allows for an up-close view of the glacier. The boat navigates within 150 meters of the glacier.

      Today, after breakfast we will be transferred to the bus station of Calafate city and will take the regular bus to Puerto Natales (Ticket included).

      Torres Del Paine National Park Excursion

      The excursion begins with a visit to the Cueva del Milodรณn, a remarkable cavern 200 meters long, 30 meters high and 80 meters wide located 25 km from Puerto Natales. A half-hour walk will take us into the cave, known for the discovery of fresh skin and bones from a prehistoric species of giant sloth, the mylodon. Remains of other extinct animals have also been found there, such as the dwarf horse, the bear, the panther and the saber-toothed tiger.


      In Cerro Castillo where we make a stop at a cafeteria and then continue towards Torres del Paine crossing numerous ranches and a landscape that goes from steppe to deciduous forest. Along the way it is possible to spot local fauna including the rhea, or South American ostrich, and the guanaco, a wild camelid. Torres del Paine is known worldwide for the massifs that give it its name, giant granite shaped by the force of glacial ice. After entering the park we discover a series of lagoons of intense colors, mountains covered with ice and abundant local fauna. Then we will stop for a 15-minute walk to the Salto Grande on the Paine River. After lunch we continue to Lake Grey, where we will take a walk to the beach from which you can see the glacier of the same name in the distance. Subsequently, the return to Puerto Natales is undertaken by the same route, or by the road that borders the Toro, Porteรฑo and Sofรญa lakes.

      A unique walk through our city, forests, lakes and mountains, bordering Lake Nahuel Huapi along Avenida Bustillo. The beauty of the landscape is present throughout the route. Various points along the way and some natural viewpoints, such as Bahรญa Lรณpez and Punto Panorรกmico, are ideal for contemplating this marvel. 

      After Playa Bonita you arrive at the foot of Cerro Campanario. There we will be able to ascend to the summit: 1050 mts. A cross commemorates the first mass celebrated by Monsignor De Andrea on February 2, 1930. The beautiful confectionery at the top allows one to appreciate one of the most beautiful and fascinating views of the region: the Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno lakes, the El Clover, San Pedro Peninsula and Llao Llao, Victoria Island, the Otto, Lรณpez, Goye hills, Cathedral, Chapel and the wonderful mountainous environment of the city of San Carlos de Bariloche. In winter, the chairlift remains enabled until 6:00 p.m. Approximately and in summer until 7:30 p.m. due to the light. The chairlift manufactured by the Doppelmayer company has state-of-the-art technology, greater safety, variable speed, making the ascent in 7 minutes at a speed of 1.30 meters per second. It consists of 8 towers, 46 chairs (with a capacity of up to 60), is 640 meters long and has a capacity for 450 people/hour. The height of the upper station is 1050 meters and the lower station is 770 meters. 

      At the top of the hill, it has a panoramic cafeteria with capacity for 80 people with 2 terraces and a height of 20 meters. The Cerro Campanario chairlift, located in the "center of the landscape", elevates it "to the right height of astonishment" to enjoy the most beautiful view of the area. In addition to the landscape, there is a wide range of products regional artisan production: fabrics, wood, candles, ceramics, cosmetic products, among others, are unavoidable part of this walk, which you should not miss.
