Guide

Escorted tour. Professional guide assistance, English speaking, during the whole trip. The guide will be with you all the time during the tour, starting from Bucharest and return to Bucharest. For 2 to 6 people, the guide will be also your driver. For more then 6 people, you will have guide and driver.

Meals

Half-Board: Breakfast at the hotel/guest house. 1 traditional home-made dinner with pure biological food, at the local guesthouse, in the first evening, alcoholic drinks included. 1 dinner at the pension in Bran (no alcoholic drinks included);

Transport

Transport by private modern AC car/mini-van (fuel and parking fees incl); Airport pick-up/drop off; (if necesary and if flight arrive in time to start the tour according the itinerary)

Accommodation

2 night accommodation, breakfast included, in 3* guesthouses in Sibiel village (near Sibiu) and Bran village (near Brasov); *the accommodation can be upgraded to 3* and 4* hotels in Sibiu and Brasov medieval cities, depending on preferences;

  • Day 1 Day 1: Bucharest - Transfagarasan (1St Of July-15Th Of October) - Sibiu - Sibiel

      Day 1: Bucharest - Transfagarasan (1St Of July-15Th Of October) - Sibiu - Sibiel

      The guide will pick you up from your hotel in Bucharest. Then, you will start the tour heading north from Bucharest to Sibiu, passing through the Carpathians Mountains into Transylvania.ย  Visit Cozia Monastery one of the most valuable monuments of national medieval art and architecture in Romania.ย  In the summer time between 1st of July and 15th of October, the tour will change the way to Sibiu City crossing Transfagarasan Road, a unique experience of crossing the Carpathians at a maximum altitude of 2034 m on the highest road in Romania. On your way you will visit Curtea de Arges Monastery.ย  Sibiu- European Region of Gastronomy 2019 - you will visit the medieval city.ย  In the evening, arrive in Sibiel, typical Transylvanian village. You have the possibility to see how people live in the country side, how they grow their domestic animals and how they make traditional food, drinks. Accommodation in a family's house. You will serve a traditionally dinner with pure biological, home made food. Drinks included.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Sibiu - Sighisoara - Brasov - Bran (255 Km)

      Todayโ€™s highlight: Sighisoara, which Vlad Tepes called home, one of the most beautiful towns in the heart of Transylvania. The whole medieval citadel is a part of UNESCOโ€™s World Heritage. German architectural influences are visible throughout the entire city. After that, visit the city of Brasov - where Vlad led raids against the German Saxons. In the afternoon, admire the beautiful landscape, dotted with small villages, medieval citadels and fortified churches, on the way to Brasov, also visit the medieval part of the city: the Rope Street โ€“ the narrowest street in Europe. ย  Dinner and accommodation in a guest house in Bran area. Bran is famous for its home-made smoked cheese, the cheese in tree bark.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Bran - Sinaia - Bucharest (175 Km)

      Today: ...a new day to visit Bran Castle โ€“ Draculaโ€™s Castle, where, along the dark corridors and in the inner gardens one can still hear the steps of the "prince of darkness", as in Bram Stoker's legendary vampire story. ย Bran Castle is an important national monument and landmark of the Romanian tourism, due not only to the beauty of the Castle and the landscape but also to the legend of Count Dracula. ย  Continue to Sinaia, the beautiful mountain resort surname "The Pearl of the Carpathians" and visit Peles Castle: one of Romania's most beautiful palaces once the summer residence of the Romanian kings.ย  Visit Sinaia Monastery.ย  Return to Bucharest in the evening.
