Itinerary of your trip Best Of Morocco’S Hidden Gems

  • Day 1 Marrakesh
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Marrakesh

Our driver will welcome you at the airport of Marrakech and transfer you to your accommodation. Check-in at the hotel/riad, and you will have the rest of the day to relax while exploring the main square Jemaa el Fnaa and the souks.

  • Day 2 Marrakesh / Ait Benhaddou / Ouarzazate / Boumalne Dades
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Marrakesh / Ait Benhaddou / Ouarzazate / Boumalne Dades

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech at 8 am, and depart to the High Atlas. We will pass through the Tizi N´Tichka pass (2260 m. in altitude), with some stops on the way to admire the spectacular landscape. Then, we continue south to the ksar (fortified village) of Aït Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot on this spectacular stage, including The Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penelope Cruz. Free time for lunch in town and then, we will continue to Ouarzazate, also known as “The gate of the desert” which in the Berber language means “noiseless or without confusion”. Here we´ll see the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco. The next site we will visit is the Rose Valley, going previously through the big Skoura palm grove, a beautiful place with more than 700.000 palms and numerous Kasbahs that are built in the surrounding area. Finally, we reach the Dades valley where we´ll spend the night.

  • Day 3 Boumalne Dades / Todra Gorge / Erfoud / Merzouga
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Boumalne Dades / Todra Gorge / Erfoud / Merzouga

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive through the valley to see the amazing rock formation “the monkey toes”, and the still-standing 19thcentury Kasbah of Ait Yul. Leaving the Dades valley towards Tinghir and afterward, we will stop at Todra Gorges. The scenery is spectacular. At the Gorges, you’ll walk under the 300m high red cliff, where many rock-climbers come to enjoy their favorite sport. After a short walk in the gorges, we continue our trip to Rissani where we’ll have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, get ready for a camel trek for an hour to enjoy the sunset. While you are on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp for an overnight in a desert camp. Later on, you will have dinner and a spectacle of Saharan music before you take some rest in your bivouac.

  • Day 4 Merzouga / Midelt / Azrou / Ifrane / Fes
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Merzouga / Midelt / Azrou / Ifrane / Fes

Very early in the morning, we have a “Date with the sunrise”. In the middle of the desert, waking up early in the morning is a “must-do” to enjoy the most spectacular sunrise you´ve ever seen from the top of a dune. After having breakfast, we start our trip to the north, through the Tafilalet palm grove, the biggest in the world. You´ll see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road. This route leads us to the Ziz valley, where the river comes down from the high Atlas and feeds the palm grove. Here we make another stop to enjoy the magnificent view of the valley and the town of Aoufous. We make another stop in Midelt, just in the heart of the Atlas where you´ll have free time for lunch. Later on, we continue our way through the Cedar Forest where, if we are lucky, we´ll see some monkeys in their natural habitat. The next place we´ll visit is the city of Ifrane which feels misplaced in Morocco. Ifrane, situated on the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above the water level. Its broad avenues, its urban development with its perfect cleanness, the gardens, the green areas, and its architecture, make this city look like a Swiss town. At about 6 pm, we will arrive at Fez and check into your accommodation.

  • Day 5 Fes
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Fes

After breakfast, you will meet with a local tour guide to explore Fez, the most ancient and holy of the Imperial cities. Your cultural and historic tour will take you through the 2000-year-old living medina. A labyrinth of narrow streets, alive with markets and souks, craftsmen, donkeys, and mules transporting their loads. Here you will visit the Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas, the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque. Finish your tour with a visit to Fez Jdid and the revered Merenid Tombs for a spectacular panoramic view of Fez.

  • Day 6 Fes / Marrakesh
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Fes / Marrakesh

After breakfast, we will start our long journey back to Marrakech via the highway. If you wish, we can have a stop in Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here, we will explore the Imperial City of Rabat, including the Mechouar (the ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the majestic Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, and the Oudaya Kasbah overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. We continue our journey to Marrakech and on arrival the driver will drop you off you at the hotel/riad.

  • Day 7 Marrakesh
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Marrakesh

After breakfast in the hotel/riad, you will have a private guided tour of Marrakech Medina with an official guide. You will see the famous Mosque of Koutoubia, the Medina with its colorful souks, and then explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets. Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens are also included in the sights we will visit. During the afternoon, the best option is to explore the medina approaching the square that in the evening is full of narrators, jugglers, diviners, snake charmers, and musicians.

  • Day 8 Marrakesh
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Marrakesh

Your beautiful tour finishes today as our driver will pick you up from your hotel/riad, transfer to the airport of Marrakech on time to reach your flight, and this is the end of our services.
