      Airport- Cairo

      Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative, who will be holding a Local Adventures sign, and will assist you with the formalities before going through immigration.

      You have the rest of the day free and that night you stay at a 4-star hotel in Cairo.

      Accommodation: Hotel Oasis (4 stars) or similar - Double or triple room.

      Note: Visiting restaurants to cover meals not included during the itinerary cannot be changed. The itinerary must follow the route and stops that have been previously reported to the local authorities, so you will not be able to separate from the group to eat elsewhere.       After breakfast, you start the day by visiting the inspiring Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx on the Giza plateau.

      You have the opportunity to enter the main pyramid, Cheops, and discover its narrow interior in an unforgettable tour of approximately 20 minutes. (Entrance fee not included).

      The pyramids of Mykerinos and Chephren can only be seen from the outside and together, with Cheops they form an iconic Egyptian landscape.

      Continue to Sakkara and visit the Step Pyramid, the first pyramid to be completed in Egypt, as well as visit the ancient pharaonic tombs.

      Note: Entrance to the pyramid is not recommended for claustrophobic people due to limited space.

      Arrive in Aswan. You are met by our representative who transfers you to your Nile Cruise. The day begins with a tour of the romantic Philae Temple โ€“ perched atop a picturesque island, its beautiful location is reached by small motor boat, making a truly magnificent approach to the site.

      Sail down the Nile in style, relaxing on deck whilst observing rural life on the shores and taking in the changing landscape of the mighty river. Today you visit the temple of Kom Ombo โ€“ its perfectly symmetrical twin entrances overlook the spectacular riverside. Continue along the Nile towards the city of Luxor, often described as the worldโ€™s greatest open-air museum and home to some of the grandest monuments that have survived from ancient Thebes.

      Optional extra: Visit Abu Simbel โ€“ the stupendous Sun Temple of Ramses the Great, located at the southernmost tip of ancient Egyptโ€™s borders.

      After breakfast, you arrive in Luxor, beginning the day with a tour of the East Bank of the Nile. Here you experience the immense Karnak Temple, considered by some as Egyptโ€™s most important Pharonic site โ€“ the countryโ€™s powerhouse of ancient times; as well as the magnificent Luxor Temple where visitors are greeted by the impressive Avenue of Sphinxes.

      After breakfast you explore the West Bank of Luxor, starting the tour with the world famous Valley of the Kings, the richest archaeological site on earth. Then on to the breathtaking Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir al-Bahri), built for the only woman to reign over Egypt as pharaoh. Finally you visit the great Colossi of Memnon โ€“ the last remains of Amenophis IIIโ€™s temple. Then you take the A/C bus to Hurghada, Red Sea. Overnight stay at your hotel in Hurghada.

      You arrive to Cairo where you are transfered to your hotel. Today you tour around the City of Cairo, beginning with the Egyptian Museum where you see the treasures of King Tutankhamunโ€™s tomb.

      From there you head to the Coptic area of old Cairo to visit the hanging church, so named as it is suspended above two Roman gate towers. You continue on to the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, which sits majestically on the summit of the Citadel of Saladin.

      Afterwards you make your way to the old Cairo Bazaar: Khan El Khalili, with its maze of intriguing alleyways that are home to numerous souvenir stalls and coffee shops. You return to the hotel to rest after this great day.
