      Full day guided tour of Belgrade, to explore the capital city of Serbia, one of the cities oldest in Europe. After breakfast, we move to the Vraฤar plateau, where we will see one of the most important places in Belgrade - the temple of Saint Sava. one of the orthodox temples largest in the Balkans. Nearby is the Serbian National Library. continue until the city center and Slavija square, St. Markโ€™s Church and the Serbian Parliament building, the Republic Square, the National Theater and the National Museum. A walk through the always lively street Knez Mihailo, main pedestrian and commercial area, on the way to Kalemegdan, we will visit the Church Congregational. The tour will end in Kalemegdan, the most important historical-cultural complex in the city. In the Kalemegdan Park, at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, stands proudly the Belgrade Fortress, witness to the tumultuous history of this ancient city.

      This morning we move to the Vojvodina region, one of the most panoramic places in Serbia, to visit 2 of the most beautiful cities in the region: Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci. Then we come to Novi Sad, the European Capital of Culture 2021, where we enjoy the walking tour through the center of the passing through the City Hall, the Cathedral, the Assembly of Vojvodina, a commercial area with restaurants and cafes. the Petrovaradin Fortress, the so-called โ€™Gibraltar of the Danubeโ€™, where find the strength. At the fortress, we will see the clock tower, the old fortress walls and we will have excellent views over the Danube, including the many bridges that cross the river. By afternoon we start our transfer back to Belgrade. On the way we stop to visit Sremski Karlovci, a city of vineyards, rich in culture and history. Sremski Karlovci feels like a "museum city" with its baroque center, the Patriarchal Court, the Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Nicholas and the first serbian high school (gymnasium). By tomorrow we will visit the Manasija Monastery, one of the most important Orthodox monasteries located in central Serbia. This 15th century monastery is nestled among the green hills of the vivid Resava gorge, surrounded by magnificent towers of the medieval fortress. Manasija represents a true jewel of Serbian architecture, culture and art. After the visit of the monastery, we continue to Resava cave, one of the oldest and most beautiful caves in Serbia. The most Interesting to see are the decorations from 45 million years ago. Until recently, shepherds Locals kept the Resava cave a secret for approximately 80 million years. The Resava cave was created before the great ice age by underground rivers that had open passage in the limestone terrain. It is 4.5 kilometers long, while they are explored in detail 2,830 meters of the cave system. About 800 meters are prepared for visits tourist.       In the morning transfer to the small town of Topola, where we will visit the Konak of Karadjordje and the old church, a place where Djordje Petroviฤ‡ lived -Karadjordje, one of the most landmarks in Serbian history and from where the First Serbian Uprising began. We will climb the Oplenac hill, a beautiful green area covered with wood, where the church of San Jorge is built in the 20th century, as a house of prayer for all members of the Serbian royal family.       Todayโ€™s first stop is Smederevo, built between 1427 and 1430. It was further fortified by the Ottoman Empire, which had taken over the city, at the end of the century.

      We then visit the archaeological site of Viminacium, an important city and military camp of the Roman province of Moesia (today Serbia), and the capital of Moesia Superior. The city dates back to the 1st century AD and at its peak it is believed that it had 40,000 inhabitants, which makes it one of the most greats of the time. Today, the archaeological site occupies a total of 450 hectares (1,100 acres) and contains the remains of temples, streets, squares, amphitheaters, palaces, hippodromes and Roman baths.

      We end the day with a visit to Golubac Fortress, a medieval town on the south side of the river Danube. The fortress was built during the 14th century. It has ten towers, most of them shaped square. Return in the afternoon to Belgrade for an overnight stay.
