  • Day 1 Arrival - Belgrade

      Arrival - Belgrade

      Our drivers will meet and welcome you in the Arrivals Hall of โ€žNikola Teslaโ€œ at Belgrade International Airport and will take you to the designated hotel. Check in and refresh before you meet your guide. After the official welcome and the introduction, we will depart and explore the Serbian capital. Enjoy the panoramic tour as we drive through Belgradeโ€™s quarters. You will hear fantastic stories and legends about the White City and discover beautiful sites. Visit the magnificent Temple of St. Sava, one of the largest Christian shrines in the world; dedicated to the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Continue towards the City Core where we will continue on foot. Discover Republic Square, surrounded by the National Theatre and National Museum before we proceed to Knez Mihailova pedestrian street, the beating artery of Belgrade. Take a break at the oldest tavern in Belgrade, famous โ€žQuestion Markโ€œ inn. Pass between the Patriarchate and Orthodox Cathedral to the very heart of the city โ€“ Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park. Our stories will take you thousands of years back as we discover layer by layer of Belgradeโ€™s rich history. Pass through magnificent gates, walk on the ramparts for a fantastic view over Danube and Sava rivers, hear the extraordinary legends of people and events that changed Belgradeโ€™s history through the centuries. Finish at the hotel for some rest. Overnight.

      Breakfast. Set the course towards the North as we depart to Novi Sad, the second largest city in Serbia and the heart of Serbian culture in the XVIII and XIX centuries. Explore the beautiful diversity of the city where Central Europe meets the Balkans. Visit Liberty Square, surrounded by the beautiful Serbian National Theatre, City Hall and Catholic church. Stroll along Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska pedestrian streets to feel the spirit of Serbian Athens. Take a break at picturesque Dunavski Park before we cross over the Danube river to the magnificent Petrovaradin Fortress, the very last bastion between two great empires โ€“ Austrian and Ottoman. Hear the stories about legendary battles between the two empires as we walk along the bastions of the Petrovaradin fortress. Take a break for lunch at Danube river, enjoy in the local specialties in beautiful atmosphere of โ€žAqua Doriaโ€œ restaurant. Reach the nearby town of Sremski Karlovci, the very soul of Serbian culture during XVIII century. Walk along the cobbled streets and among beautiful palaces of Patriarchate, Cathedrals and the First Serbian Lyceum as we guide you through magnificent stories from the past. Finally, visit to Sremski Karlovci wouldnโ€™t be complete without the visit to the local wine cellars, home of the famous โ€žBermetโ€œ dessert wine; the most prestigious wine on European courts. Return to Belgrade for overnight.

      Breakfast. This day is all about the diversity of Serbia. Visit Carska Bara Nature Reserve, one of the richest ornithological oases in Europe. Enjoy in a magnificent boat ride through the reserve while our rangers guide you through the wildlife. You will have the chance to see some of the rarest bird species in Europe. Continue towards Belo Blato village, ethnically the most diverse settlement of Serbia. Discover a fantastic legacy born out of over dozen different nations which settled here. Take a break at the famous Hunting Lodge of Tiganjica for a taste of Banat county cuisine. Our next stop will be Kovaฤica, the world capital of Naive Art. Visit the famous Naive Art Gallery with the chance of meeting and learning from some of the most renowned artists in the world. We will pay a visit to Mr Jan Nemฤek, one of the most recognized violin builders of the world. Those of you who play violin will have the chance to test some of the best violins in the world. Continue to Deliblato Sands, a unique site in Europe with resemblence to Tolkienโ€™s Shire. Enjoy in the panoramic ride before we return to Belgrade for overnight.

      Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Today we will take you to the magnificent world of East Serbia. Many call it the โ€žtime machineโ€œ, and you will find out why... Our first stop will be Smederevo, the last Serbian Medieval capital. Visit the Smederevo Fortress and feel the spirit of Medieval chivalry as we take you back to the 14th Century. Continue towards the town of Kostolac and discover one of the most important Ancient Roman cities โ€“ the mystical Viminacium. Discover the remnants of the magnificent city which was brutally demolished during the Hun expansion. There is one more thing to discover, and that is an extraordinary mammoth excavation site. Follow the mighty Danube river to one of the most magical places in Europe โ€“ famous Iron Gate gorge. Discover the magnificent place where Danube reaches the widest and the narrowest points in its flow. Take a boat ride around Golubac Fortress, overlooking the widest part of Danube and enjoy in mighty river and its surroundings. We will call it a day by visiting the site of the oldest settlement found in Europe, belonging to the civilization of Lepenski Vir. Dating back to 7th millenia BCE, Lepenski Vir is considered to be the oldest permanent settlement in Europe, with clearly defined urbanism and architecture. Find out about the โ€žfishmenโ€œ, mysterious stone sculptures found in homes of Lepenski Vir. Finally, we will approach magical Mt Rtanj for check-in and overnight.

      Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Enjoy the panoramic ride through East Serbia as we reach one of the oldest wine regions in Europe. Arrival to Rajacke Pimnice, a small village near Negotin, with a wine making history as long as the written history of this region. You will get to know the secrets of wine making dating back to the Ancient Roman times. Of course, we will taste some of the best local wines. Continue south to the town of Zajecar and visit one of the most famous archeological sites of Southeast Europe. This UNESCO site was a residence of the Roman Emperor Galerius, and one of the first sites of the Christian Church in the 4th Century AD. Enjoy in the walk through the magnificent palace with extraordinary mosaics and arts. Continue towards Niลก for check-in and rest. In the evening we will explore the City of Niลก with an easy walking tour. Visit the Niลก Fortress and hear the turbulent history of the Native town of Roman emperor Constantine the Great. Visit one of the most gruesome monuments in Europe, notorious ฤ†ele-kula, tower built by the Ottomans with heads of Serbian rebel army.

      Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Depart towards the cradle of the Serbian Medieval Kingdom. Follow the valley of the West Morava river to Kruลกevac, the capital of the Serbian Principate under Prince Lazar in the XIV Century. Visit the magnificent Lazarica church, the best-preserved part of the great Medieval city. Continue towards Kraljevo town to visit the XIII century monastery ลฝiฤa, better known as โ€žthe church of the Seven Kingsโ€œ. This was the very place of the coronation of Serbian Medieval kings starting from the XIII century onwards. Hear the stories about the magnificent history of the Balkans and the Serbian position between East and West. As a crown jewel of this day, we will pay a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most longevous monasteries, dating back from XII century. Visit the lavish churches and treasuries as we guide you through the dawn of Serbian Kingdom expansion during the late Medieval Ages. Settle in Vrnjacka Spa for check-in and well deserved rest. Enjoy the evening in one of the best spas Southeast Europe has to offer!

  • Day 7 Vrnjacka Spa โ€“ Novi Pazar โ€“ Uvac Gorge โ€“ Zlatar

      Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. We will continue southward to the very heart of Old Serbia. Visit the town of Novi Pazar, which used to be the centre of the Serbian state during the Middle Ages. Find out the magnificent legends as we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Old Ras and the oldest monasteries in Serbia โ€“ Sopoฤ‡ani, Djurdjevi Stupovi and Peterโ€™s Church. Continue towards Sjenica, a picturesque town surrounded by magnificent mountains. This is the very place where the magic begins, and we will taste it through a magnificent boat ride on Uvac Canyon. Discover magnificent meanders, home of the largest European bird of prey โ€“ the Griffon Vulture. Continue to Mt. Zlatar for rest and overnight.

  • Day 8 Zlatar โ€“ Mt. Zlatibor - Mt. Tara

      Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Enjoy in the panoramic ride over the mountains of West Serbia as we approach the jewel of Serbian Alpine tourism โ€“ Mt. Zlatibor. Discover the extraordinary natural beauty as we visit some of the most magical sites, such as Stopiฤ‡a Cave โ€“ one of the most beautiful caves in Europe, decorated with magnificent cave jewels and mineral tubs; next stop will be Gostilje Waterfall complex โ€“ an elvish like scenery with lavish waterfalls and greenery. Visit Sirogojno Open-air Museum for that taste of Serbian Highlands and centuries-old tradition and finish with an immersive panoramic ride on Zlatibor Golden Gondola. Enjoy in the spectacular view over Mt Zlatibor and the region before we travel to our hotel on Mt. Tara for rest and overnight.

      Breakfast. Our todayโ€™s destination is the โ€žQueen of Mountainsโ€œ, lovely Mt. Tara. The sheer beauty of the rawest nature is one of the most beautiful National Parks in Europe. We will have the chance to enjoy in surreal natural wealth this mountain has to offer. Admire magnificent bellevues with panoramas over the West Serbia region. Embark on a unique train experience as we take the famous โ€žล argan Eightโ€œ rail over the slopes of Mt. Tara. This will give us a whole new perspective on the mountain. Finish at Drvengrad Ethno Complex, the largest one in Southeast Europe and already famous for the elite Film Festival โ€žKustendorfโ€œ. Return to the hotel for rest and overnight.
