  • Day 1 Arrival In Beijing

      Arrival In Beijing

      Welcome to join our Beijing Xi’an Guilin Shanghai tour! After reclaiming your luggage at Beijing airport, you will be met by your guide outside customs. He or she will be holding a sign with your name on it. You will then be escorted to the hotel. Now some free time for you to rest and recover from the plane ride.

  • Day 2 Beijing

      At 08:30, a tour briefing will be given in the hotel lobby and you will also get the opportunity to meet your traveling companions. Your first stop is Tiananmen Square, from where you can walk to the Forbidden City. Upon arrival at the largest imperial palace, travelers are always impressed by the high red walls and large quantity of buildings with golden roofs. You will enjoy an a la carte welcome lunch at a very nice restaurant.

      In the afternoon, visit the Yonghe Palace and Temple of Heaven. Tonight, we will arrange a living Beijing Opera Show in Liyuan Theatre and we will leave enough time for you to see how actors put on makeup on their face.

  • Day 3 Beijing

      Today’s highlight is to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. The round-trip cable car is included. We will specially provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. The restaurants nearby the site are of low standard, so we do not arrange the lunch today. It may be the best that you have a big breakfast at the hotel and have some fast food for lunch by yourself.Our guide will show you some restaurants. Drive back to down and have a photo stop at the Olympic National Stadium (Bird’s Nest), you will see its splendid appearance at a distance. Afterwards, you will take a rickshaw tour to explore the original Hutong alleys and have a chance to visit a local family.

  • Day 4 Beijing - Xian

      In the morning, visit the Panda House in Beijing Zoo and the Summer Palace. After that, take a flight to Xi’an and check in at the hotel.

  • Day 5 Xian
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Xian

      Today you will be driven to the suburb area to marvel at the powerful Qin Terracotta Army for the whole morning.  After that, take a family visit to home of the first discoverer of the Terracotta Army. And then make a mini clay warrior by yourself in a traditional cave dwelling with the help of a local artisan. Lunch is on your own and our guide will gladly assist.

      In the afternoon, continue your exploration to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Tonight, you will be invited to a traditional dumpling dinner and a splendid Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show.

      Friendly Tips: Clients visiting in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec need to arrange the dinner and evening activity on their own for this day, since the theater is usually not open at that time.

  • Day 6 Xian
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Xian

      After breakfast, we will first head to the City Wall Park, a popular venue for local people to relax and take part in various activities. It is the best place to experience the real life of the locals. We also arrange a one-hour Tai Chi practice for you in the park. You will learn some basic skills with the master. After that, we will visit the ancient City Wall, where you can take a leisurely walk or rent a bike to ride on the wall. The bike rental fee is at your expense.

      Then explore the lively Muslim Quarter and try the local food and the road extends to the Great Mosque. After visiting the Great Mosque, we will transfer you to visit the Provincial History Museum.  If the Shaanxi History Museum is not available, alternatively, the famous Forest of Stone Steles Museum will be arranged instead.

  • Day 7 Xian - Guilin

      Xian - Guilin

      A morning flight will take you to Guilin where you will meet your local guide at Guilin airport. A driver will then take you to the hotel. After checking in and a short rest, you will have a half day sightseeing trip to the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill.

  • Day 8 Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin

      Enduring memories are created as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Li River is the essence of landscape in this area, especially the section from Guilin to Yangshuo, which is reputed as ’A Hundred Miles Gallery’. The cruise ship will arrive at Yangshuo in about 4.5 hours. Disembark and then walk along the famous West Street. After that, you will be driven to the countryside of Yangshuo to soak up the amazing rural scenery. Along the way, you will pay a visit to a local villager’s home, where you will see many scenes that can only be experienced in some old Chinese movies. Finally, you will be driven back to Guilin.

      Tips: Unfortunately the lunch on the cruise is the simple Chinese lunch box, which is not up to the standard that we would like. So we recommend you take a hearty breakfast at the hotel in the morning.

  • Day 9 Guilin - Shanghai

      Guilin - Shanghai

      This morning we will transfer you to Guilin airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival you will find your local guide is waiting for you outside the baggage claim area of the airport to take you to the hotel. The remainder of the day is left free for you.

  • Day 10 Shanghai
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Today’s trip will start at Shanghai Museum which specializes in ancient art works of China, especially bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphies and paintings. Later, take a trip to the classical Yu Garden and its surrounding traditional bazaar. Around noon, enjoy an a la carte farewell lunch of authentic Shanghai cuisine at a well reputed restaurant.

      In the afternoon, you will be guided to the Bund and have a one-hour cruise tour along the Huangpu River. Thereafter, go to the Former French Concession to explore Tianzifang. Many old houses there have become art studios, modern restaurants, cafes and bars, and your guide will take you to the back lanes to see the real life scene of Shanghainese.

  • Day 11 Departure From Shanghai

      After breakfast, you may check out the hotel and arrange the transfer to the airport by yourself. Please make sure from which airport your flight will depart before you leave as there are two airports in Shanghai, one is Pudong International Airport (PVG) and the other is Hongqiao Airport (SHA). We kindly suggest you reserve a taxi with the hotel bell desk beforehand to save time. Wish you a nice trip home!
