This royal retreat combines various architectural styles. The temple area of Ayutthaya resembles an open-air museum of Buddhist high culture. Temples, monasteries, palaces and monumental sculptures still bear witness to the early splendor. In the afternoon, you will drive to a small family business that produces a Thai-Muslim dessert specialty: Roti Sai Mai.
