When you arrive at the hotel, you have the opportunity to take a short break until the program starts at around 1 p.m. Explore the so-called khlongs in Bangkok and let yourself be enchanted by the Venice of the East. During a boat tour in the khlongs of Thonburi, Bangkok reveals one of its many faces: Thonburi lies far away from the skyscrapers and the heavy traffic in the more modern area of โ€‹โ€‹the city. With old wooden row houses, incredible floating kitchens, quaint and sparkling temples, and a simpler lifestyle, Thonburi is on a more traditional side of Bangkok. You take the Skytrain (BTS) between the skyscrapers. When you arrive at the river, take a short boat tour to Tha Tien Harbor, and then visit the oldest temple in Bangkok, Wat Pho, which used to be the first public university in Thailand. Perhaps you can listen to the traditional morning ritual of monks singing. You can also admire the giant reclining Buddha covered in gold leaf and the 8-hectare temple grounds. The walk continues to Wat Phra Kaeo, known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and one of the most valued temples in all of Thailand. You will also visit the gold-adorned Royal Palace, the former official residence of the kings of Siam and a must-see for every trip to Thailand. The great palace is an important landmark of Thailand and impresses with the size and the majestic sight as well as the magnificent throne halls. After the sightseeing, have lunch at a local restaurant near the mysterious amulet market in Bangkok. You will continue your journey with a traditional and adventurous tuk tuk ride to Wat Saket and climb the golden mountain. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Bangkok. Then take the Sam Saeb taxi boat around the Jim Thompson House, home of a US revolutionary in the Thai silk industry. Afterward, take the skytrain or taxi back to your hotel. Overnight in Bangkok.
