  • Day 1 Day 1: Sunday

      AM: Transfer from Baltra to hotel with guided Highland Tour

      PM: Charles Darwin Research Station - self-guided

      Your Galapagos Island Hopping Adventure will begin when you are met at Baltra airport on arrival by official Galapagos guides and driven to a highland farm and reserve to view and learn about the giant tortoises. You will also explore a lava tunnel left over from the original pyroclastic flow, and โ€œLos Gemelosโ€ - two large volcanic craters that have their own microclimate and species. From there you will be driven to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time you may have time to walk to the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn more about the many species of tortoises that inhabit the Galapagos.

      At the hotel, staff will go over the details for the week to make sure everything is clear.

      AM/PM: All-day guided tour to Bartolomรฉ, Plazas or North Seymour*


      You will be picked up from your hotel at an agreed hour between 6.00 and 7.30 AM depending on which tour you have.  Refer to the app for details of what you will see on your tour. The day will be spent sailing to and exploring one of these unique islands with the chance to snorkel at different spots, as well as a short hike to explore and view the animals and birds that live there. You will be accompanied by a qualified Galapagos guide. Snorkel gear is provided. Lunch and water is also provided on the boat. In the evening you can choose where to eat and explore the charming small town of Puerto Ayora.

      AM: Launch to Isabela Island

      PM: Guided tour to Volcan Sierra Negra

      Difficulty level: Medium / Medium-High

      Tour duration: approximately 3-4 hours

      This morning you will be at the jetty around 6.30 AM for the high-speed launch to Isabela Island. The trip takes around 2 hours. On arrival you will have to pay $10 in cash for โ€œentranceโ€ to the island, and then you will be met and escorted to the hotel. After dropping your luggage you will be picked up to drive to the still-active volcano โ€œSierra Negraโ€ to hike to the rim, and on to โ€œVolcan Chicoโ€ if you are feeling energetic enough.  At the end of the tour you will be droped back at the hotel. After this you can eat dinner in any of the many restaurants and cafรฉs around the main square of this tiny village. 

  • Day 4 Day 4: Wednesday

      AM: Guided excursion to Los Tรบneles

      PM: Playa del Amor / Media Luna Hill / Flamingo Lagoon


      You will be picked up from the hotel at the agreed time for the Tuneles tour. The small boat will head around the coastline of Isabela to arrive at a unique spot with lava bridges spanning stretches of clear water. You will snorkel in different locations to see the variety of underwater life there. Snorkel gear is provided. You will be dropped back at the hotel around 1.00 PM.  You can get lunch from any of the restaurants in the main square from $5 and upwards.

      The afternoon is free, and our app will give you details of activities that you can do depending on your energy level. While some may be quite tired after the morningโ€™s activities, others may be ready for a hike or more exploration in the water. We recommend the hike by the Flamingo Lagoon and on to Playa del Amor and Media Luna Hill. All the details and a map are provided on the app.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Thursday

      AM: Guided Tintoreras snorkel tour

      PM: Launch return to Santa Cruz + Playa de los Alemanes/Laguna de las Ninfas โ€“ self-guided


      You will be picked up from the hotel around 7 AM and driven to the jetty to board a small boat that will take you to a collection of rocks that jut out of the water close by. Here there is excellent snorkeling and you will be able to see a variety of marine species endemic to the Galapagos. Snorkel gear is provided. 

      Lunch is provided by the hotel.  

      The launch to return to Santa Cruz leaves at 2 pm and you will be driven to the jetty in time for departure. 

      On arrival at the jetty in Puerto Ayora you will return to the hotel (a short walk or a $1 taxi ride). If you still feel energetic then you can use the app to get the directions to walk to Playa de los Alemanes or Laguna de las Ninfas. 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Friday

      AM: Launch to San Cristรณbal + San Cristรณbal Interpretation Center self-guided

      PM: Playa Mann / Playa de Oro โ€“ self-guided


      You will take the high-speed launch that leaves around 6.30 am (confirm exact time and name of launch on the app) to San Cristรณbal, arriving around 9.00 am. Someone from the hotel will meet you at the jetty and accompany you to the hotel. 

      The rest of the day is free. We recommend visiting the Interpretation Center in the morning to learn more about the Galapagos Islandss, and exploring Playa Mann and Playa de Oro in the afternoon. Details and maps are on the app. 

       


  • Day 7 Day 7: Saturday

      AM/PM: All day 360 tour of San Cristรณbal


      You will be picked up from the hotel around 7.00 am (confirm time on app) for the 360 Tour which will take you to Playa Grande, Bahรญa Sardina and Kicker Rock to snorkel and view a huge variety of wildlife โ€“ sea lions, turtles, stingrays, sharks, octopus and a myriad tropical fish, as well as endemic birds such as the blue-footed boobie. The tour ends around 5-6 pm. 

      You can find dinner in any of the local or tourist style restaurants in the small town of Baquerizo Moreno. 



  • Day 8 Day 8: Sunday

      AM: Cerro Tijeretas - self-guided

      PM: Launch return to Santa Cruz - arrive around 4.30-5.30 pm


      Depending on your energy level after yesterdayโ€™s all-day excursion, you might like to do the short hike to Cerro Tijeretas lookout point where you can see frigate birds and enjoy great views of the ocean. 

      The launch to return to Santa Cruz will leave around 2.00 pm, so you need to be at the jetty then. Refer to the app for the name of the launch. 

       


  • Day 9 Day 9: Monday

      AM:  Transfer to Itabaca Channel. Cross and take bus to airport.

      You will be picked up from the hotel approximately 2.5 hours before your flight and driven to the Itabaca Canal to cross over to Baltra for your return flight.
