Itinerary of your trip 7 Days Galapagos Island Hopping

  • Day 1 Day 1: Baltra Airport Pickup & Transfer To Isabela Island
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Baltra Airport Pickup & Transfer To Isabela Island

      Upon arrival at Baltra Island, you will get picked up from the airport and transferred to the harbor in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. You will be met by your contact person who will explain the program for the coming days and you will receive recommendations on restaurants and things to do in Santa Cruz and Isabela. Then you will take the ferry to Isabela Island (trip takes about 2 hours). Arrive in the afternoon and meet your contact person at the harbor of Isabela for your transfer to your accommodation. Note: Passengers should arrive by 11:00 am at the latest to Baltra Airport (GPS) to guarantee this first day, otherwise we recommend arriving in Santa Cruz one day before the tour.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Tour To The Sierra Negra Volcano & Volcan Chico - Tintoreras Islet

      Day 2: Tour To The Sierra Negra Volcano & Volcan Chico - Tintoreras Islet

      Enjoy an early breakfast before departing for your full-day tour of Sierra Negra and Chico Volcanoes & Tintoreras. Be prepared for a 5-6 hour hike that requires good condition and lots of effort. You will definitely think your work has paid off as soon as you take in the views of the islands. This afternoon you wil visit Tintoreras. This small islet receives its name from the reef sharks also known as white-tip sharks that can be seen swimming along with fish and sea lions in the channels when the tide is low.  This is an excellent site to observe the Galapagos penguins who nest in this area depending on the season.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Depart From Isabela To Santa Cruz Island - Highland Tour + Charles Darwin Station

      Day 3: Depart From Isabela To Santa Cruz Island - Highland Tour + Charles Darwin Station

      In the morning make your way to the harbor of Isabela from where you will travel by boat to Santa Cruz Island. Upon arrival in Santa Cruz, you will be transferred to your accommodation for check-in. Santa Cruz Island is an absolute must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador. This magical island offers visitors the chance to see giant tortoises in their natural habitat, swim with playful sea lions and sea turtles at Tortuga Bay. In the island is located Charles Darwin Research Station, where you can learn about the conservation and protection of the Galapagos wildlife and ecosystems. 

  • Day 4 Day 4: Tour To A Nearby Island (Santa Fe)

      Day 4: Tour To A Nearby Island (Santa Fe)

      Today is an early rise for a day tour of Santa Fรฉ Island. Enjoy snorkeling among abundant marine life and relax onboard the boat taking in the beautiful surrounding views. Explore the islands to try and spot land iguanas, and go bird watching. Your day tour includes a lunch on-board. Santa Fe Island has an interesting volcanic composition, where a forest of giant Opuntia Cactus grows over volcanic rocks. The island is located southeast of Santa Cruz and is an island with an area of 24 Kmยฒ, with a maximum height of 259 meters. After a boat ride to the island, visit two snorkel sites around the coast of Santa Fe. They are generally great places to snorkel with the playful Galapagos sea lions. You can also see many reef fish, and sometimes turtles, reef sharks, and rays. Then we will disembark and spend some time on the beach 'Playa Escondida'. If you're lucky you could spot some of the wildlife that inhabits Santa Fรฉ: land iguanas, galapagos hawk, finches, doves, mockingbirds, endemic rice rat and the harmless Galapagos snake. If you desire another navigable tour it has an extra fee and under availability.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Depart Santa Cruz Island For San Cristobal Island
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 5: Depart Santa Cruz Island For San Cristobal Island

      At morning make your way to the harbor from where the ferry to San Cristobal Island leaves at 7h00 am. You will arrive around 09:00 โ€“ 09:30 am at San Cristobal where you will be met by your contact person at the harbor and will be taken to your accommodation. Your contact person will explain your program on San Cristobal and you will receive recommendations on restaurants and things to do in San Cristobal. During the rest of the day, you can visit Frigate Hill. It is one of the few places where two species of frigate-birds nesting in one colony can be observed together. One of the lookout points boasts a canon made in the United Sates which dates back to the WWII and was pulled out by the Ecuadorian Marines in the early 1970s for military practice purposes.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Tour To Lobo Island Or Kicker Rock

      Day 6: Tour To Lobo Island Or Kicker Rock

      Today you will go on a day tour to either Isla Lobos or Kicker Rock, depending on availability. Lunch is included on this day tour. Return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno at 16:00 pm. Lobo Island You will have the opportunity to walk around this wonderful little island. There, marvel at the sea lion colonies, seabirds such as blue-footed boobies, migratory birds, frigates nesting or courting with that impressive red balloon, and Nazca boobies also can be found. Go to Canal Lobos, a great place for snorkeling or swimming in turquoise waters with sea lions, tropical fish, rays, sea turtles. After this amazing experience, we sail to Playa Ochoa or Manglesito (according to the tide) where we have our box lunch and relax on a beautiful white sandy beach. Activity Kicker Rock The boat will transport us to the beautiful rock in the middle of the ocean, which according to the โ€œisleรฑosโ€ looks like a sleeping sea lion. The boat will take you around the rock to spot different nesting seabirds and will stop at the entrance of the canal from where you will snorkel. During this snorkel adventure you can spot sharks (white tipped, galapagos and hammerhead), sea turtles, rays and more. After this wonderful experience we sail to Playa Ochoa or Manglesito (according to the tide) where we have our box lunch and relax ourselves on a beautiful white sandy beach.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Airport Drop-Off

      Enjoy your free morning before departing the Galapagos Islands. You will be transferred to the San Cristobal Airport 1.5 hours before departure. We wish you safe travels.
