      After having experienced the capital of Greece and cultural capital of Europe, Athens (by yourself), our tour leader will come and pick you up at your hotel in Athens. We will begin this amazing journey by driving towards Delphi, UNESCO world heritage site. This ancient Greek archaeological site is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world, including multiple monuments such as the Temple of Apollo, the Castallian Fountain and the Large Sphynx of Naxos. You will be astonished by Treasury of the Athenians, the Theatre, the Stadium and the Museum with the famous statue of Antinoos and the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer dated from 475 B.C. ย Enjoy some free time to explore the UNESCO heritage site. Overnight near Delphi.ย 

  • Day 2 Delphi โ€“ Thessaloniki

      Delphi โ€“ Thessaloniki

      After breakfast our tour will continue towards Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece and located at the coast. Thessaloniki is an open-air museum of Byzantine history as it has many monuments from that time. We will go to the old city, walk through the Ana Poli area and the traditional markets as well as visit the White Tower, symbol of Thessaloniki. Next to the White Tower is the Arch of Galerius and Rotunda, dating back to the Roman times. We will also pass by the most famous hammam in the city, Yahudi hammam, meaning โ€˜โ€™Bath of the Jewsโ€™โ€™, resembling all the different cultures that lived here through time. After sightseeing you will have some free time for shopping in Thessaloniki. The city offers a wide range of choices and excellent shopping options, all near by the city center. The main Thessaloniki shopping street is Tsimiski. This boulevard is lined with international brands, boutiques and stores. The best way to close your day at Thessaloniki after sightseeing and shopping would be by enjoying a drinking in front of the sea side. Overnight in Thessaloniki.ย 

  • Day 3 Thessaloniki โ€“ Bitola (N. Macedonia) โ€“ Ohrid

      Thessaloniki โ€“ Bitola (N. Macedonia) โ€“ Ohrid

      Today we will leave Greece and cross the border to N. Macedonia. Taking a step back in time, we will visit the ancient city of Bitola, the second largest and oldest city of North Macedonia. Bitola combines the old with the new, Ottoman buildings next to modern office buildings. Our tour continues to the ruins of Heraclea Lyncestis, named after the legendary Greek mythical hero, and it dates back to approximately 4th century BC, but many of the remains discovered are from around 2nd century BC when the Romans invaded and conquered it. Heraclea has excellent ruins including an amphitheatre once used for gladiator fights and preserved mosaic floors. The site is the most authentic well-preserved city from the ancient Macedonian empire in the whole country. We will also walk through the pedestrian boulevard full of shops, cafes and restaurants. Transfer and overnight in Ohrid.ย
