through the park. Tarangire is especially spectacular during the dry season (June - November) as wildlife concentrations rival that of the Serengeti. This is because enormous populations of elephants

and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water. With its varied habitats and permanent water in the Tarangire River, the park is home to over 2000 elephants and 500 bird species.

The Ngorongoro Crater is 610 meters deep and has a base area of 260 square kilometers. This area contains over 25,000 large mammals, including zebras, wildebeests, Grantโ€™s and Thomsonโ€™s Gazelles, leopards, elephants, mountain reedbuck, buffalos, spotted hyenas, jackals, and cheetahs.

This is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes. This is also the place to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.

A picnic lunch will be served on the way to your tented camp in North Mara for dinner and overnight.
