You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha (45minutes drive depending on traffic jam). Depending on your arrival time, you will have an opportunity to explore the hotel grounds, go for a dip in the swimming pool or partake in any of the offered additional activities available. Our tour sets off after breakfast, with the first stop being the town of Arusha for some last minute purchases, before we head off on an exciting safari experience… We will travel towards the Tarangire National Park, where we stop for lunch and afterwards, our first game drive of the safari! Tarangire National Park is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of the annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephant, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebra.  Accommodation: Twiga Campsite or similar (Dome Tents)

We head towards Lake Manyara National Park for an early morning game drive. The spectacular national park is located at the north-western corner of Lake Manyara, a hallow soda lake, which lies at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Manyara NP is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos, but also for the elusive tree climbing lions.  During the afternoon there will be optional activities at Mto wa Mbu village where you will take part in a cultural walk to learn about village life in the area. Meet the women who run the village tours and enjoy a delicious home made traditional lunch. Spend the afternoon viewing wildlife along the main road that winds through a lush cool forests of Lake Manyara National Park, overgrown with ficus trees and covered with bromeliads. This area is truly stunning, as the western wall of the Rift Valley escarpment provides a gorgeous backdrop.  Accommodation: Twiga Campsite or similar (Dome Tents)
