Medical supplies (first aid kit will be available). Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) entry permit & Tourist Information Management System (TIMS) permits Government taxes and official expenses. Use of Sleeping bags, Down Jacket, Duffel bag and Walking Poles (if you do not have your own, to be returned after you complete the trip). Oximeter to check your pulse and oxygen saturation and heart rate twice daily (Very useful to check Altitude Mountain Sickness(AMS) symptoms) Which will ensure you trek is in the safest hands possible for all levels of trekker. Assistant guide group size above 6+ person.

Transport

Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up & drop off service by a private tourist vehicle. Kathmandu to Beshisahar-Bulbule transportation by Bus. Nayapul to Pokhara transportation by private car/Jeep Pokhara to Kathmandu transportation by Tourist Bus.

Meals

Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the trek. Fresh fruit every night after dinner.

Accommodation

Standard twin-sharing accommodation in a three-star hotel in Kathmandu (3 nights only) and Pokhara (2 nights only) including breakfast. Guesthouse accommodation during the trek in mostly twin-share and occasionally dormitory-style rooms.

      Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by a representative from Sherpa Expedition Teams and taken to your hotel in Thamel โ€“ the tourist hub of Kathmandu. After checking in at the hotel you will be briefed on what to expect on your trek to the Annapurna region.

      Today, we will spend the day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley with our guide and will visit Pashupatinath Temple, which is regarded as the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal and where pilgrims worship Lord Shiva (situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River), Bouddhanath, a Buddhist temple known as โ€˜Little Tibetโ€™ and then on to Swayambhunath known as the Monkey Temple. We then drive to Kathmanduโ€™s famed Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site, and located in front of the old royal palace. Upon arriving back at your hotel there will be time to do some last-minute shopping around Thamel prior to heading out on your trek. Your guide will assist you in preparation for your trek.

      After an early breakfast we will drive for about 5 to 6 hours before arriving at Besisahar - about 190 kilometers from Kathmandu. From Besisahar we will head by jeep to Syange where you will have some fantastic views of Mt. Annapurna II (7937m), Mt. Manaslu (8156m), and Mt Lamjung (6983m).

      Our journey today takes along a dirt road through a gorge with amazing waterfalls cascading down from above and offers frequent views of snow-capped peaks along the way. The winding road takes us from Syange via Jagat village (1410m), and then arrives at Chamje village. After crossing the bridge there is a steep ascent before we reach the village of Tal (1700m), located next to the Marsyangdi River. From Tal we continue on until arriving at todayโ€™s destination, Dharapani village where we will stay overnight.

      Today we trek from Dharapani climbing higher and with a noticeable change in vegetation and with cooler conditions. The trail passes through forests before reaching the Tibetan village of the Bagarchhap with its characteristic Tibetan architecture. Climbing higher we reach the apple-growing region and farms, along with pine forests and views of Lamjung and Annapurna II peaks. The trail then follows the Marsyangdi River heading upriver and passes the villages of Manang and Koto before coming to Chame. It is an easy walk from Koto to Chame where we spend the night. Chame is the district headquarters of the Manang region.

      Leaving Chame we pass through the village of Telekhu and on the trail we have some incredible views of Annapurna and Pisang (6091m) and then have to re-cross on a suspension bridge to the south bank of the Marsyangdi River. After crossing the river we then head to higher altitudes passing a pine-forest as we trek through the upper reaches of the Manang valley to Pisang. At the upper edge of Pisang village we have some great views of Pisang and Chulu peaks. Tonight we stay at Pisang.

      The town of Pisang is where our trek begins into the upper Manang area. Today we trek to Braga; a Tibetan village with its distinctive architecture and with its houses constructed one upon the other. One of its main attractions is its Gompa (Buddhist fortification), the largest in the Manang region. Manang is a popular destination with trekkers and is also a place to acclimatize before heading to higher altitudes. Todayโ€™s trek is around 4 to 5 hours. We stay here overnight.

      Health professionals strongly advise that before heading to higher elevations that trekkers spend time acclimatizing. They also recommend staying active during this period. From Manang you will have impressive views of Annapurna II; Annapurna III (7555m); Gangapurna (7454 m); and to the south to Tilicho (7132 m); and the Grand Barrier (a 7000m ridge)to the west; Chulu West (6583m) and Chulu East (6059m) meters in the north. Today, to stay active, we will climb up to Khangsar (3756m). Tonight we stay at Manang.

      This morning we start out on a 10.4 km uphill trek of around 3 to 4 hours and head to Yak Kharka passing through juniper forests and will see yak grazing in these alpine pastures. On the route, we pass the only teahouse at Thorong Khola. The vegetation at these elevations is mostly juniper trees. Depending on the conditions we may decide to go a little further and stay overnight at Letdar.

      Today we spend two hours climbing to Thorong Phedi (4,450m) where we will stay at one of the newly built guesthouses overnight.

      Today is a long and hard day on the trail, trekking for around 7 to 9 hours. The higher altitude contributes to the degree of difficulty and sometimes strong winds in these upper regions make it hard going. Along the trail, we may pass sheep, yaks, and merchants transporting their goods. Once we reach Thorong La Pass we will be rewarded with out of this world views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and the eye-catching peak of Khatungkang (6484m). Leaving the pass we descend around 1600 meters and the brilliant Dhaulagiri (Dhulia Giri, meaning โ€œWhite Mountainโ€) is the highest mountain that is wholly in Nepal. The trail is more undulating and quite easy before we reach Muktinath where we stay the night.

      From Muktinath we descend 1200 meters to the Kali Gandaki river valley with a short stop at Ekle Bhatti (meaning one inn) a small village with 3 to 4 teahouses. The trail then follows a windy path for another 2 hours until we arrive at Jomson, the headquarters of the Mustang region with its airstrip situated above the Kali Gandaki River. An easy 2 hour trek from Jomson takes us to Marpha, close to Jomson, where we stay the night. Jomsom has many lodges and is well-known for its delicious apple cider โ€“ a good opportunity to celebrate!

      Today we follow the trail along the banks of the Kali Gandaki River heading downstream to Tukuche village beneath the towering Tukuche Peak and Dhaulagiri Massif, extending 120 km from the Kali Gandaki River in the west to Bheri. There are also extraordinary views of Mt.Nilgiri and the massive glaciers coming down the east face of Dhaulagiri. A short trek of 1 hour from Tukuche takes us to Larjung village that is surrounded by huge mountains. We then cross the large river bed and trek through pine, rhododendron, and oak forests before having to cross a suspension bridge over the rapid-flowing Kali Gandaki River. In the background are views of Mt.Annapurna I, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri. The trail ultimately brings us to Lete Village where we stay overnight.

      Today we descend from the more rugged sparse regions through pine and other conifer forests as we trek through the valley between the enormous Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. The trail takes us through Ghasa Village with its breathtaking views of the snow-covered peaks and into a cooler climate. Just down from Ghasa is the southernmost region inhabited by the Thakali people. The trail then passes the terraced farmland on the hillsides as we head down into the sub-tropical regions before coming to the village of Tatopani (meaning hot water in Nepali). Along this trail we can see the cascading Rupsi waterfalls. The hot springs at Tatopani have situated on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River; a great place to bath and relax.

      Today we climb 1670 meters, quite a tiring slog, and pass through more cultivated farmland with their terraced fields. We climb through a rhododendron forest, stunning in springtime, magnolia, and of course a panoramic view of the mountains. Tonight we will stay at Ghorepani with its equally spectacular views of the Annapurna Ranges and Machapuchare (fishtail) - one of the few unclimbed peaks in Nepal due to its religious status โ€“ home to Lord Shiva.

      Before daybreak we trek up to Poon Hill to watch the sunrise, a really magical experience that will leave you breathless. As dawn approaches the change in colors reflecting off the peaks will see you camera will go into overdrive! This is said to be one of the best places, on any trek, to view the Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri, and its many snow-covered peaks. This is a memorable experience and will provide you with photos to boast about to your friends! The first part of the trail, passing through Bhanthati, down to Tikhedhunga has a very steep descent. We will stay overnight at Tikhedhunga.

      From Tikhedhunga we follow an easy downhill trail passing through farming villages and waterfalls before coming to the picturesque village of Birethanti located beside the Modi River where we stop for lunch. We then trek for another 30 minutes before arriving at Nayapul where we take a jeep to Pokhara and head to our hotel at Lakeside (next to Few Tal (lake). There will be time to walk beside the lake, take a boat ride, and browse the many shops. Tonight we can party and celebrate the finish of our amazing Annapurna adventure.

      Today we head back by road on a 6 to 7 hour drive to Kathmandu with many affectionate memories of Nepal and its unique culture and landscape. These memories will surely be with you for a lifetime!
